I could write a book about why this hotel is Perfect. There is nothing I could fault about this hotel. Stayed for a week for my wife's 50th birthday. I had high expectations and the hotel did not disappoint. Service is excellent, staff excellent, room was spotless, had a gala dinner which was perfect, location is great. It makes you... More

This is a very beautiful and quiet hotel in mass-tourism Sirmione Lovely park surrounding a 19th Neo-Roman Villa, with 1950-ies addition (the main part of the hotel). Lovely jetty with sunbeds at the lake with great views The restaurant is problematic. The food, especially for dinner, is bland), and the staff is poor and sometimes even terrible. Also we did... We decided to stay at this hotel, following a day visit to Sirmione last year from Verona. It was the right decision, as other hotels are very touristy and this hotel has a calm feel about it away from the crowds. So that was all a plus point. The picture shown on the website is not the front of the... More

Step back in time and breathe in the complete peace. Set in the most beautiful grounds, lovely staff, lovely pool, minutes from the heart of the town, although not ideal for anyone not totally able bodied, as it is a walk down hill with steps into the town through an unlit public park and vice versa on the way back.... We first visited the Villa Cortine Palace in 2013 to start planning our wedding which was to take place in July 2014. Two months before the wedding we met the General Manager, Roberto Cappelleto, to finalise our arrangements. We were to be shocked and appalled at the way he and his wife, Ingrid, spoke about their other guests and treated... More

I titled this review 'looking down from heaven' because sitting outside eating breakfast and looking down at Lake Garda with the cloud topped mountains behind, is what I imagine the roman gods would have mythologically done. Villa Cortina is the entrance to heaven at the end of the historic town of Sirmione. The gates with the enticing garden behind, open... More

We loved this hotel so much that we are going back next year. We don't usually return to the same place but 3 nights just wasn't enough. We had a comfort room with part lake view which was lovely. The hotel has an understated luxury which is lovely. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and the setting is very... More

This is one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever stayed in. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, far enough away from the middle of Sirmione that you feel removed, but close enough to walk in to see the sights and go for meals or drinks. The beautiful gardens are really well maintained, and the building itself is well kept... More

This is an oasis. The gardens are beautifully planted, populated by a cast of statues and punctuated by little terraces to recover from the sheer spectacle of the view. I happen to love hydrangeas; there are some amazing shows of pinks and blues on the banks of the paths. Whilst part of the grounds are more formal, there are also... More
