I titled this review 'looking down from heaven' because sitting outside eating breakfast and looking down at Lake Garda with the cloud topped mountains behind, is what I imagine the roman gods would have mythologically done. Villa Cortina is the entrance to heaven at the end of the historic town of Sirmione. The gates with the enticing garden behind, open... More

We loved this hotel so much that we are going back next year. We don't usually return to the same place but 3 nights just wasn't enough. We had a comfort room with part lake view which was lovely. The hotel has an understated luxury which is lovely. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and the setting is very... More

This is one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever stayed in. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, far enough away from the middle of Sirmione that you feel removed, but close enough to walk in to see the sights and go for meals or drinks. The beautiful gardens are really well maintained, and the building itself is well kept... More

This is an oasis. The gardens are beautifully planted, populated by a cast of statues and punctuated by little terraces to recover from the sheer spectacle of the view. I happen to love hydrangeas; there are some amazing shows of pinks and blues on the banks of the paths. Whilst part of the grounds are more formal, there are also... More

We stayed at this hotel on the recomendation of some friends. The hotel is in the old part of Sirmione and the drive to the hotel was quite something, through the narrow old town streets filled with tourists. The hotel entrace with the large gates opeining to let you in gave the impression there was something special behind them. The... More

This is a perfect hotel for a luxurious short break. In the heart of Sirmione, this hotel provides 5*+ quality, with excellent friendly staff and service. In particular the concierge service, which provided useful local information and maps of Sirmione. Nice surprise on my birthday, when the hotel left a cake in the room, a welcome personal touch. Grounds are... More

A wonderful hotel in a stunning location. Staff could not do enough for you. From opening the curtains in the morning and seeing the view to walking down to breakfast, to walking through the grounds, everything was perfect.

We stayed there for 3 days last week. I really enjoy this place, very clean, quite away from the crowd, excellent service in the restaurant and in the bar. Amazing villa with a fantastic view on the lake. I spend a lot of time in the bar sipping my cognac and listening to the piano play. very relaxing. The bartender... More

Set on the postcard picture perfect peninsula overlooking lake Garda, this is a little gem with excellent service, impeccable manners and old fashioned traditional values, it is the definition of what holiday should be about! The restaurant is the pinnacle showcase for local dishes, the grounds are lush and green away from the busy bustle of the town. Electric gates... More
