This is an excellent location for your stay at Como, Italy. Close to lake and the boat stops are virtually on the hotel doorstep. The Hotel Barchetta is where to stay at Lake Como if you want location! Its not the best hotel and certainly not the worst but value for money and if location is what matters this is it in Lake Como. Nothing beats sitting on the balcony having a pre-dinner drink on a summer evening at this hotel. It must be the most enchanting view in the world that you enjoy from a superior room at the Barchetta. We stayed here for a few days as our first port of call on a 10day trip to Italy. Having flown into Malpensa we were delighted to find that the local bus company ran a reasonably regular minibus service to Como from the airport. Even better it stopped literally outside the hotel.
