This hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful small town of Bellagio and under 5 minutes walk from the car and foot ferry terminals. We hadn't been able to book a room (with balcony) facing the lake so we opted for a side view room. However, on arrival we were delighted to find that our french doors exited... More

We have just recently left the Metropole after staying for 4 nights. I am a regular on TA so did take into account the great reviews this hotel has recieved but to be honest, I struggle to understand why this hotel is so highly rated. Let me start by saying the Staff were excellent however, the hotel left a lot... More

We stayed in terrace room 111 and it has fabulous. Beautifully decorated in antiques, it was very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of storage space, hardwood floors. The best part is the view from the large terrace. We were very pleased with the restaurant and ate there twice. Nice breakfast is included in the rate. All the staff we met were... More

We spent two days in this hotel, the price is the only complain but which hotel is not expensive in Italy, we got a room with balcony facing Lake Como with outstanding views, bathroom normal size for US standard, room and bathroom very clean, including bidet and hair dryer, which is luxury in old European cities. Centrally located, very good... More

Super friendly front desk here. At Como you want a lake view which you have here. Room is,well, OK. Roof top is good but nothing is being done with it. Breakfast... ok. Italy like so many other euro spots is being overwhelmed by things like the push button espresso maker. NB 1) don't rent a car 2) rent your own... More

This was our second stay at the Hotel Metropole. We had a corner room on the third floor - two windows with balcony views - fantastic. Bellagio is such a great base for Lake Como and this hotel is very comfortable, well situated for the town and ferries without being fantastically luxurious ( which you would pay a lot more... More

Stayed four nights in April 2012, staff went above and beyond with every request we made (booking reservations, helping with info, etc). We were upgraded at no cost to a larger room which was clean, modern, quiet, nice views even though not lakefront. Would absolutely stay there again. If I had one complaint it would be they were rather fond... More

I used the Metropole hotel as the base for stopping in Bellagio as I was getting married at Villa Cipressi in Varenna and having my evening reception at La Punta in Bellagio. This hotel is in the best position right on the lake. The hotel room which we stopped in was 111 and by far the best room in the... More

My wife and two adult sons stayed here for four nights. It is a very good, reasonably-priced hotel right on the lake, near the ferry stations, with excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service, a fantastic breakfast buffet, friendly bar with outside seating, nice rooms with excellent bathrooms, and a beautiful roof top garden/lounge with panoramic views of the lake. We had lake-view... More

Great location in town. Staff gave helpful guidance for parking, which is challenging. We selected room with a balcony which gave a great view and if it hadn't been raining would have been a fantastic place to enjoy the lake. Needed to leave the window open when it was warm out as A/C wasn't available yet. This meant times of... More
