We had a great stay here, the rooms are quite big and comfortable and the staff is respectful and English speaking. The views are stunning and the food are mainly homemade Italian dishes. Although not very diverse. All in all, we had the perfect honeymoon here.

We stayed three nights at La Pergola, and noticed on reviews prior to arriving, that staff were reviewed as unfriendly. In actual fact, they are a lovely group of three generations of family members, where the business has been in their family for decades. At first impressions, they are not smiley at all, but we found they were very generous... More

A family run hotel. It felt like an old family villa. Very comfortable rooms and firm beds. The small bathroom did not detract at all from the beautiful old world feeling of the decor. All staff friendly and helpful. We had a first floor room with a hug balcony overlooking Lake Como. We ate at the restaurant one evening and... More

We felt very fortunate to be shown to our lovely room with a balcony overlooking beautiful lake Como. Marta who checked us in was welcoming and efficient and the hotel is in an idyllic spot. Breakfast every morning was very good, particularly with the inclusion of muesli! The room was clean and well-equipped, even containing a small fridge, but the... More

Stunning views, beautiful location, great price... However, there's nothing quite like arriving at a hotel to be met by scowls and sour expressions, especially when you've travelled literally half way around the world. No lift, that's fine, I'll carry my wife and baby's stuff upstairs, I'm used to that. I'm not used to trying to get a baby through a... More

This is a beautiful hotel on the shores of Lake Como. The rooms themselves were beautiful and had an authentic old italian feel with beautiful large armoires and dressers. Marta was warm and accommodating when we discovered our rooms were not exactly what we had expected from booking.com website as only one room had a full view of the lake... More

We've stayed several times at La Pergola. Our tastes include: the Beauty of Nature, Authenticity, Simplicity, Serenity & Wellness. La pergola is a 15' hike from the village and well worth it. We enjoy to eat well and the short walk is a pleasure after dinner or any time of day. It's stunning actually with those ancient steps. And the... More

We have just returned from an eight-night stay in the heart of Bellagio. On our second day whilst out exploring we came across La Pergola, a beautiful little hotel right on the edge of the lake. Such a beautiful location that we almost talked ourselves into returning to Bellagio later in the year and staying there. We wont be! We... More

Gorgeous lakeside location, go to sleep to the lapping of the waves! Oh and a wee bit of restaurant noise! Bellagio itself is a "few step-es" away (according to the very helpful young waitress) - make that 180 steps! We stayed 5 nights and loved it - very clean, spacious room, and breakfast on the terrace was a treat. To... More

I was worried about this hotel after the horrible reviews about the service; I was pleasantly surprised. The people who run the hotel are not particularly friendly, but they were fine. The hotel is clean and the rooms are bigger than many in Europe. The price was excellent. Breakfast was minimal but enough. The location is on the other side... More
