This hotel is exceptional. I know because I live my life in hotels. Everything (underscore "everything") was excellent. It started with my first email contact with Uta on the front desk. She could not have been more helpful and throughout my stay nothing was too much bother. On my arrival and throughout my stay I was made to feel more... More

Stayed at the Petronilla for three nights in feb 2011. The hotel is new so our spacious room was designed with all the latest mod cons and cutting edge design with thoughtfully provided bathing robes and slippers. The shower is great with jets and a rainfall effect perfect to soothe weary limbs. But what is really outstanding is the staff... More

Stayed just one night at Petronilla. Arrived almost at midnight after late flight but had informed them of late arrival. Almost before the taxi could stop two people came out of hotel and whisked bags away. The next time we saw bags they were in our room. There was no hanging around waiting to be tipped. Very refreshing. Very comfortable... More

All reviews were absolutely right and of course that is why we booked the Petronilla: excellent location, interior design with best materials, customer service from Uta one of the best hoteliers ever met and the food & breakfast to die for! Especially the suggestions of Uta for dinners (a different Michelin star restaurant for every night) were amazing and we... More

Small cosy hotel, refurbished to the state of the art within an old building, ideally placed to visit the old city. Extremely confortable, very ergonomic rooms, with what is needed for a confortable stay. Excellent breakfast with local produce. Very kind staff

What a find. We were on holiday in Italy and needed to change location to stay at the last minute. We emailed Petronilla to book and had an answer within minutes and confirmed our booking just as quickly. The hotel is about a year old in an old building but totally new inside. The 12 rooms are all decorated differently... More

Have been to Bergamo many times and thought this time we would try the petronilla hotel as it has recently opened. It is in lower town, close to main shopping streets and 10 minutes walk to main road for buses to old town or airport. Hotel is lovely, we stayed on fouth floor- room was very nice and modern. Very... More

I had great expectations when I booked our stay at the Petronilla Hotel due to the overwhelmingly high ratings and reviews it has received. The hotel and its staff went above and beyond to make our stay one of the most memorable trips I have ever had. The pictures on their website truly reflect the modern beauty of this place.... More

There are not enough superlatives to describe the excellence of this Hotel. Everything is of the highest possible standard. Nothing is too much trouble for Uta and her fantastic staff. They made our short stay so very enjoyable. If you ever visit Bergamo, this is the ONLY place to stay. But don't just take my word for it, try it... More
