According to the previous reviews, the hotel is within walking distance from the train station, to be fair it is if without heavy luggages. We made a right decision to take a taxi from the station. The Euro 18 for the taxi was worth the close to 1 km walk and speedy guidance to the hotel. The 74 years old... More

I was scheduled to stay 2 nights at this hotel in late August 2014 but only stayed one. It was disappointing. To be fair, I was not prepared for the humidity of Santa Margherita which set things off badly. Still it was a lot of money for the hotel. On the positive side- super helpful staff, spotlessly clean, pretty quiet... More

When we arrived in Santa Margharita by train approx 11pm there were no taxis to be seen. We tried to phone a taxi but they did not answer. We phoned the hotel to tell them of our predicament and they told us not to worry, it is only a 10 minute walk. I explained we had our luggage, but they... More

We stayed for 3 nights in Santa Margherita.. which is a beautiful city and I would go back again. We took day trips to Portofino, San Fruttoso and Camoglia (see other review). The hotel recommended we go via ferry (have to change to a different ferry in San Frutosso to go to Camogli) and to come back from Camogli by... More

We stayed here for four nights. The hotel is excellent and in our view better than the three star rating it is given. The owner and staff are extremely attentive. Cleanliness is outstanding and the facilities are great. We stayed in room 407 which is next to the roof terrace spa which is lovely with great views of Santa Margherita.... More

We are used to stay at the 4-star Miramare that was full. Minerva would deserve an additional star for the position and the excellent service. The hotel is quiet and in a residential area, very close to the centre, to the port and to the beaches (we went to la Valletta Miami Beach). The staff is young and very kind.... More

We had a phenomenal 3 night stay at Hotel Minerva - I strongly recommend it for any travelers to Santa Margherita. It is located a couple of blocks from the Main Street running along the harbor so it is very quiet. But only about a 10 min walk to the "center" of town. Our room is small but impeccably clean,... Central location, personal, professional and very friendly service. Great breakfast with fresh fruit, good bread and versatile offering of juices, cold cuts etc. Roof terrace with pool & spectacular view. Rooms comfortable and clean. Can truly recommend. Nils, Lidingö, Sweden

This is a lovely smaller hotel that is just a few streets from the lovely Santa Margherita harbour. The staff are extremely helpful and flexible to any requests. The breakfast included a wide variety of delicious breakfast items (during the weekend they have pancakes). We stayed in the superior room which had plenty of space and included a mezzanine level.... We were here for three nights in July and couldn't fault it. From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic, until our departure when we were given a delicious gift of biscuits for our train journey. The rooms were clean, and great value for the price paid, our room had a balcony. The rooftop terrace was a nice surprise-... More
