Very nice summer resort hotel close to everything.Easy to get to PortoFino and to train station for visiting Cinque Terre and other coastal villages. Old fashion laid back town and hotel. Good size rooms and nice breakfast.

Central and peaceful place, very close to Portofino Marine Protected Area. I most liked the breakfast they serve which includes cheese and egg that most of Italian hotels don't except sweets. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are fairly well and clean. I recommend this place.

This hotel is a great location for those who want to visit the Cinque Terre by train but don't want to stay in the closer busier towns. The hotel itself is good, but I was a bit disappointed in the lack lustre attitude this time around (second stay here) from the staff. The rooms are quite small but adequate. The... More

We chose Santa Margherita as a “lesser” alternative to Portofino and were SO glad we did: Much pleasanter than crowded Portofino. The hotel is about an 8 minutes cobbled sidewalk walk from the train station: be forewarned that the walk is downhill thus steeply up wheeling suitcases when departing. A short stroll takes you to restaurants, shopping, the quay, and... More

Very nice hotel in a beautiful town. Centrally located with slightly limited parking. Hotel is as described and there was everything you need. Comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast and nice rooftop lounge. Bathrooms are a bit small by American standards, but is plenty big enough by European standards.

We booked this hotel through ICNOS Adventures. They sent us the link to the hotel and it looked right for us and our friends online, taking into account what we wanted to spend on hotels. The hotel and the staff more than met our expectations. I rated it as a four star simply because it is not five star. The... More

We were three ladies on a girl's trip thru Cinque Terre and the Portofino Peninsula. The hotel was conveniently located near the train station, restaurants and beaches. The rooms, although small, felt large due to the extremely high ceilings. We had breakfast included which was "ok", however, the service staff were excellent. I am not sure of the names of... More

we spent out 25th anniversary at this hotel. it was very pleasant and the staff was excellent. the breakfast buffet was very thorough and the hotel was walking distance to everywhere. Recommend going into town to get stuff that's better priced. Only a short walk away.
