We really enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Laurin, recommended by friends who have stayed at the hotel at least 12 times. The hotel is ideally situated which compensates for the somewhat small rooms, just 1 minor complaint no tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast was very good & the staff went out of there way to please,we will definitely return.

We spent one night at the Laurin on our way to Florence, was a bit cloudy/rainy but the view of the docks were still very calming. The balcony is huge however one big point we didn't like was that all the rooms were connected - ie anyone can just walk to their neighbors balcony. There are some hedges for privacy... More

We stayed here as part of our 15th Anniversary Tour of Europe. The hotel location was fabulous, across the street from the Marina with a fantastic view. Most rooms have small patios so you can enjoy the view. The rooms decor is a little out dated and the bed was very hard. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast... More

Lovely hotel made special by the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Very 1930's in style, pool is wonderful. We had a beautiful room with sea views. SML is an ideal location for those not wanting to stay in the pricy Portifino, loads of great restaurants and bars. Pretty little town, will definitely return

Very friendly and welcoming staff on arrival, the rooms are small with limited space in the bathroom. The view from the balcony is exceptional but the main road below about 30 meters is very noisy particularly at night. Breakfast buffet is limited but adequate. Overall the hotel is very dated and tired. Rooftop pool was empty in May with limited... More

I chose this hotel for the location. All bedrooms have water views. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and all employees took pride in the jobs they did. It was close enough to Portofino to walk along the sea. The ferries, restaurants, shops, bus stops and train station was within walking distance.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. The views are lovely from the balcony. The breakfast was satisfactory. Our room was small but the view made up for the lack of space. We went to portofino by bus #82. The hotel sells the bus tickets and you get the bus right in front of the fish market on... More

Stayed 2 nights. Location is perfect and most rooms have a lovely terrace overlooking the harbour/marina. But the rooms are very basic with hard beds and pillows and very limited, ordinary toiletries. Also, the breakfast was disappointing - tea and coffee drinks out of one dispensing machine, only boiled eggs, etc, choice too limited for a 4 star hotel. It... More

This was a perfect location for us to stay. The Hotel Laurin was a vey pleasant experience. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The view of the harbor was beautiful from my room with a window box of red geraniums outside. My room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. We walked to boat for a trip... More

A great location right across the street from the harbor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the Harbor. Very nice well appointed European size room. Breakfasts were very good and the dinner in their restaurant on our day of arrival was excellent. We let the waiter choose our courses and wine... More
