Pricey, but great location. The Hotel itself is beautiful, but needs a bit of a facelift. The double room was large and airy with a tiny balcony, large marble bathroom and beautiful sea views. The grounds are gorgeous, with many patios and grand flora. The breakfast had many varieties of foods- fresh fruits, meats, pastries, omelette prepared from scratch, there... More

An older but wonderfully maintained property a 10 minute walk to downtown Santa Margherita. We enjoyed a gorgeous suite with a terrace that provided a magnificent view of the harbor. Staff is friendly and professional. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was superb. Great beach club! Simply a marvelous hotel.

Faultless location......it was an absolutely gem of a place. We had a swim in the meditarrean ocean ...... It was also perfect for our two and half year old daughter because of the beach was private and she could play in a little man made creek with pebbles near the sea. Breakfast and Dinner at the imperiale palace was divine.... More

We have been coming on and off for years to Santa Margherita and this hotel too. When you come to the Imperiale, it is like stepping back in time. The hotel was originally just a noble family residence before the hotel wing and dining room were added around the turn of the 20th century. It occupies a prime position and... More

Despite a rather brusk and unwelcoming reception by a stern Russian (?) woman at the front desk who kept barking into the telephone, this place is fantastic! One very nice lady who works in the bar is an absolute darling. The pool and waterfront is reached by a bridge and a short walk through a well-maintained garden. The food in... More

The Imperiale is definitely the best hotel in Santa Margherita. It has a stunning location so views on the sea side a fabulous. It's also easy to walk into the centre in the evenings. The service in the restaurant is smooth, and the food is very good. The concierge staff were always most helpful. Obviously due to the formation of... More

The Imperiale Palace in Sta. Margheria is located in the bay next to Portofino. We used to stay at Splendido or Hotel Eden but soon fell in love with the Imperiale Palace and have returned again and again. We adore its old fashioned elegance, the spacious rooms, the welcoming staff. We wake up every morning to a stunning view, a... More

Cavalier, understandard - generally a hotel that's seen far better days! Having spent the best part of the last 5 years travelling the globe and staying in justified 5 star resorts and hotels - I have to say the Imperiale Palace is very wide of the mark. On arrival we were met with arrogant staff who had tried to give... More
