Ours was a Sea view Classic room. Absolute quality. A view to the ocean for the few minutes we were in the room. Breakfast was superb with a wide range and staff very helpful. We enjoyed an evening meal on the balcony which again was outstanding. The staff in attendance again extremely helpful and attentive. There were not many people... More

This is the classic grand dame of Santa Margherita... A hotel that can easily be spotted if you follow the road from Portofino. The service is good ( although drinks service at the pool can be very slow) , the hotel rooms are huge and the views are sublime. However, it is a dated hotel that shows the signs of... More

We just returned from a wonderful 6 day stay at this beautiful hotel.. We had a wonderful sea facing room with a balcony. Service is excellent and the staff quite accommodating. The food is excellent and there are also a large number of high quality alternatives in town which is just a few minute walk. This is a great area... More

Just returned from imperial, and this hotel is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. Whoever wrote the review about it not being like hotel splendido in portofino is rediculous as hotel splendido is over 1000 euro per night . You are not even comparing hotels in the same price bracket!!!!! We loved this hotel and it deserves it's 5 stars.... More

This hotel is on a beautiful setting. Once one of the best hotels in the area it feels old and not adapted to our days: e.g., few sockets and placed very low, inadequate for charging phones and PCs, bathrooms should be refurbished (new and better taps, shower, etc), noisy air-conditioning (at least in the room we occupied, etc. Service is... The hotel is 5 star and is priced accordingly Our room with balcony had a wonderful view over the bay and was our regular sun downer venue The bathroom is adequate but the shower in the bath is not up to standard especially if you are tall The beach area is quite a long/ steep walk from the hotel so... The pool and beach area of this hotel are so beautiful and private, and the restaurant food so delicious, you could easily stay on the hotel premises for 2 days without visiting the town. What I call the beach are in fact three large stone platforms protruding into the sea upon which sits beach chairs with umbrellas. Guests climb down... More

Well what can i say, love love love this hotel. Great setting, beautiful gardens, amazing decor and very grand experience. One of the best buffet breakfasts we have had with probably the best view ever of the italian riviera. The pool and beach area was beautiful, however unfortunatelly difficult to get to with a pram and small kids as the... More

Just breathtaking views! Beautiful old world hotel, close to all the gorgeous surroundings, Portofino, Rapallo and much much more. The Hotel itself set up so high, will give you the most amazing feeling when you look out your balcony window..... the beaches are gorgeous, the private beach and pool amazing. Lovely manicured gardens. The most amazing breakfast we have had... More

The hotel is indeed charming and the staff highly professional (as you would expect for a five stars hotel), but what really makes the difference is the stunning view from the restaurant and the private beach...it is really worth trying. Plus, the city center is walking distance, so the location is also very convenient
