We booked a room with a sea view, absolutely beautiful. However, we found the traffic noise intolerable. The staff very quickly found us an alternative room which we found very satisfactory. All staff very helpful and polite. Access to the lovely pool and beach area is challenging. Bar prices hideous. Breakfast on the terrace with the view is delightful. Good... More

The "Imperiale" is an impressive massive old style palace furnished like a small Chateau de Versailles pompous style and with generous grand-floor amenities; yet, the bedroom assigned was of a maximum of 11 Sq.m flanked with charming but inadequate furniture reducing considerably the free space; the constant flow of the air-conditioning system (hot air) could not be controlled or switch-off... This place is nice, but seems due for some freshening up. They kindly upgraded us to a spacious room as we were visiting during their slow season. We had a large room that just seemed a little worn out although it was very clean. They offer a huge selection of food for breakfast. Service by the staff is efficient, and... More

I stayed in the Imperiale Palace Hotel in Santa Margherita for only one night with my boyfriend in April'15. The standard room was spacious, clean and pretty and had a stunning balcony with sea view! The bathroom was very nice and luxurious too and featured complimentary beauty products by Etro! The hotel was located in the entrance of the city... More

Stunning hotel, absolutely beautiful - our room was out of this world, very spacious and fabulous bathroom. Very friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful- only stayed one night and had to leave early the next morning but I definitely would love to return here.

Pleasant hotel on the entrance to the town. The rooms were large by European standards. The hotel had a nice pool/seaside area where chairs and umbrellas were supplied. Breakfast was your standard European setup of continental cuisine and some buffet options.

This grand old hotel upholds the tradition of style, luxury and excellence that Italy has long been renowned for. The setting is magnificent, overlooking the sea and the town, and the spacious salons and terraces evoke a feeling of civilised life and the grand tour. Our bedrooms too were beautifully appointed and all aspects of house-keeping faultless. It was wonderful... More

The hotel is majestic and the dining rooms and terrace are just stunning. The hotel maintains its period features with modern amenities. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are clean and new. The private pool and the beach are accessed via the hotel's pedestrian bridge over the main road. The hotel is a very short walk down the hill... More

We stayed at the beautiful Imperiale Palace Hotel for a few nights as part of a 10 year anniversary break. The hotel itself is stunning, sat to the left of the bay of Santa Margerita Ligure with beautiful views over the town. We really enjoyed our stay except for a few bug bears, which we felt let the experience down.... More

Wonderful hotel and great service. We stayed here for a week in August and was very impressed with the service and wonderful junior suites overlooking the sea. We eat in the restaurant every evening as we loved the food and service. My only disappointment was the walk down to the swimming pool I think my children counted 128 steps -... More
