Myself, my husband and our two young children stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as part of a week long trip to Italy. Though the hotel is a bit outdated it has loads of charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially during breakfast with two small kids. (Providing crayons, colouring paper and little toy cars) the family... More

We toured France, Italy and Switzerland for 30 days and i must say this hotel left quite an impression on us. Firstly I think we must be the only guests there, but this family run establishment did not slacken on their service. Instead they went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed chatting with Mrs Pia... More

Wonderful location... just a few blocks from the water.. We walked there easily from the train station. (However, had to help mom with her luggage.. a bit much for a 78 year old.) The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast offering was very nice.. especially compared to the 2 previous Italian tourist locations we'd stayed in. I appreciated... More

I stay in this hotel every year in October for the last 7 or 8 years. It feels like home. It's just a breath away from the waterfront and 100 meters from the Duomo square. The train station is a 5 minute walk and the neighborhood is quiet. It is owned by a family and Mrs Pia (who speaks about... More

We arrived with nothing booked and the tourist bureau gave me a list of hotels. I randomly picked this one without checking first on TripAdvisor but we are so glad we stayed here. It is a lovely cosy old hotel run by a charming gregarious lady and her equally welcoming husband. Our room was large and comfortable. We had a... More

Riviera di Levante, magnificent cliffs and the Ligurian Sea, the bay Lord Byron and H.C. Andersen fell in love with and after them millions of visitors over the years. Hotel Mediterraneo is an old private villa, built in the 1700's, the rooms are large with old beatiful spesifics like parquet floors and beatifully framed windows. The villa has a lovely... More

This centrally located hotel is on a quiet street with a park in back of it. We had two rooms, one of which had two windows and two fans, so there was great air circulation. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast, included in the reasonable price, was quite good with a wide variety of selections. It was a nice... More

Walking in I seriously felt like I had arrived at my grandmothers house after a long roadtrip. This hotel is so homey that you are ok with the fact that it is somewhat shabby and in need of some serious sprucing up. However, the hosts are the friendliest and most charming of any we had encountered on our vacation and this... More

We highly recommend Hotel Mediterrano. The hotel was charming, and we were treated as family members by the proprietors. Our room, including the bathroom, was much larger than we expected, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the location was terrific. Not only was the breakfast pleasant, but we thoroughly enjoyed dinners in the restaurant. Again, we felt as... More

I guess my expectations were high after viewing pictures on their website, but the place seemed run down. Our bedroom (top floor; room 33) was very large with a nice balcony overlooking the back of the hotel. The bathroom was in pretty bad shape. Typical European shower/phone booth, no soap dish in the shower, paint chipping, the door didn't shut,... More
