Early warnings attaching to a wedding invitation for an August Wedding in Santa Margherita Ligure, was that hotel prices would be expensive, hence a hectic scramble for best price and good location, a consideration to include the location of the Wedding itself in Zoagli. When I discovered that the earlier reserved hotel required a cable car to approach it, left... More

We spent two days in Rapallo at the Giulio Cesare & could not have been happier wIth our choice. We arrived without a reservation and Massimiliano greeted us with a smile, raced out to secure a parking spot for us, and have it's a 4th floor room with 2 balconies and incredible views. The room was huge by European standards,... More

This hotel is in a great spot with a terrace that looks out over the marina where you can enjoy a bottle of local wine and watch the Italian countryside change from day to night. Lights, boats, hills and a cool breeze. Perfect! The forth floor South facing room is the best. It is reasonably priced with a lovely breakfast.

My husband and I have been going to and loving the Hotel Giulio Cesare for many years. The rooms are good, hotel location and view excellent. Very friendly attentive staff too. All in all -- a great, great value for the money. Rapallo is our favorite place on the Italian Riviera by far. The beauty, restaurants, people and access to... More

accidently found this hotel when looking for a stay at portofino, of course the rates from 200 to 600€ a night in portofino are not for us... but this hotel is really a GREAT alternative! All nice places to eat, drink, the harbor, ... everything closeby ! And for 11€ per person you take 2 way trip boat to portofino.... More

We stayed in this hotel over a week in June 2013. This is a 3 star hotel and it turned out to be very pleasant to stay there. The room we got was good . The location was great - just a short walk to the center of the town and to the beach. The staff was friendly and the... More

Very good choice for touristic stay at Rapallo and region in the range of ***. Hotel perfectly located, very close to marina and city center, but calm and quiet. Very nice building and interior design + elevator inside. Tasty breakfasts with fresh food and great coffee. Owners very friendly and helpful. Rooms well equipped. If needed - It is possible... More

We got a room on the top floor with a wraparound balcony which gave great views. It was a good sized room with a modern bathroom & it was clean.Nice big towels. We enjoyed the variety at breakfast(choice of cappuchino, hot chocolate, latte, juice, fruit tarts, cakes, croissants, etc). It's a short walk to the shops, seafront, restaurants, cablecar and the open markets(Thursday). Free parking in the public... More

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

We stayed in the hotel from July 23-24, and compare with other hotels later on during our trip in Italy, we have to say that having a 3 star rating, it corresponded well to our expectations and the price. We booked this hotel in a rush, without actually doing a thourough research, but the reviews from Tripadvisor helped. We did... More

We stayed during a recent trip through Italy. Compared to other hotels we stayed in off the same star rating, this one fell short of expectations. We weren't made to feel welcome on arrival, rooms and bathrooms are in need of some work and breakfast is very limited. Our room was cleaned every day and given fresh towels. Overall decor... More
