Set above Rapallo so be prepared for a long drive up windy roads. Parking is quite a way from the hotel up stairs and along a rough road. Beautiful views however, even though our hotel faced the road to the sanctuary, it was till a pleasant view. Breakfast was very plentiful and good. However, our double room had no towels,... More

This hotel is set high above Rapallo, but not in Rapallo. We had trouble finding it as it didn't even show on the GPS and had to ask someone on the street. Make sure you get directions before showing up. The road up is 8 km winding and very tiring. But once there, the view over the hotel was amazing... More

The views of the hotel were very nice, it's a great location if you like churches, and little walking adventures. The outside building is pretty, but it's very weird and dark inside. The staff were average but helpful, and the rooms were very small and depressing. If you want to have some space by yourself, it's perfect. If you go... More

Easy to find from the autostrda - (the sat nav doesn't work well in this area) by following the signs which lead you up the 2000 feet of mountain to the top where you will find the Hotel and the cable car. The Hotel was spotless and the rooms lovely with the most spectacular views of the gulf and Rapallo... More

We only had one evening to spend here since we had dinner at the Paolin (a great restaurant near by). This location is amazing and worth the travel. We changed our route between Geova and Cinqueterre just in order to come here (for the Paolin food and this place) and it was worthy it

All I can say is - stay there if you're in Rapallo or on your way to the Cinqueterre. It is very hard to find as the main access road from town with the only sign I could see is currently closed but once you find it (I got help from the locals, navi was useless), it is priceless. High,... More

I had been in Florence for a couple of weeks and was looking for some quiet time by the sea. I had been to the Cinque Terre, so I wanted to go somewhere new. I picked Montallegro (on top of a mountain above Rapallo) I was there for 4 nights and totally found it by accident! The only way to... More

For all travellers seeking a one of a kind experience, this is it. You take a cable car to a secluded hotel which has been recently remodeled. The views of Gulf of Tigullio down to Portofino are stunning. The restaurant was excellent for dinner & a great value. Breakfast was likewise of superior quality. Owners Anna & Amelio( he's the chef... More

This is a very nice and clean hotel with an excellent kitchen. The room was simple but newly renovated. The bathroom spotless clean. The upper floors can be accessed by an elevator. If you want to flee the city, stay at a Marian Sanctuary, like the country side and its quietness, have an unbelievable view of the Gulf of Rapallo,... More

the value for money here cannot be overstated. the hotel is run to a very high standard for the price paid. food is very good. bedrooms adequate & spotlessly clean. views are spectacular. if your not into the hustle & bustle of nightlife in the town below, this is the perfect hotel. however, personally i think it would be a...
