Thats what you call an italian warm welcome. After a long day travelling we popped in this hotel to ask about hostels. We soon realized that it was the best value we could have hoped for. The room was spacious and charming. The breakfast was very enjoyable on the terrasse with the morning sunshine. The best thing about our stay... More

What can I say..... We just LOVED this hotel. Stefania, the owner was very friendly and helpful! We were two couples travelled together and she gave us the 2 rooms at the end of the passage opposite each other. We both had large rooms overlooking the canal. Large bathrooms and nice showers. We had to leave very early the next... More

I guess the prices are value for money as it's summer and high season..however, it's not cheap. Location is good and they have parking at the street. Nice breakfast! Rooms are old, its in a residential house, with no aircon. The couple running the place is very friendly.

Good location. around five mins to walk to the beach. The bus stop was just opposite the hotel. The room was very cosy with classical style. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good price in such an expensive area.

The owners are great and really helpful. Breakfast is good and the terrace is lovely. The rooms are fine although a little bit more soundproofing would be good and the bathrooms could do with updating. All in all, a fine and characterful place to stay right near the waterfront, town centre, bus and railway stations, and all for a good... More

We stayed at this hotel at the first week of May. First of all, i can say that Rapallo is a very good choice to make our base for the visiting the surroundings. The hotel also is very convinient as well in terms of location. It is on the same street with the train station, just 5 minutes walk. The... More

My feeling about Rapallo is also consists of the time spent in Portofino hotel. Everything was amazing - fiendly and helpfull staff, ready to help you with any question you have, tasty breakfasts with fresh pastry, aroma coffee and meat plate, rooms in ancient building with incredibly high ceilings and cosy beds, cleaned every day. There is also elevator (the... More

We stayed 5 nights here having only planned to stay 3. It was such a great location, one block back from the waterfront, right in Rapallo. We wanted a rustic, older style hotel with character and that is exactly what we got. Lookout for neon sign and double door entrance to the building, there is a gold plaque outside with... More
