Firstly, following on from a previous review, the cat is lovely, not at all sickly looking and was nowhere near an old cardboard box. Arriving at Locanda Dal Moccia was a very pleasant surprise. We were greeted by the owner, guided to our parking space and then briefly shown around the hotel and up to our lovely room. The room... More

We stayed one night at this lovely family hotel with the sweetest restaurant. Fabio, the owner is very, very funny and pleasant man. Him and waitress Chiara made our stay very comfortable and we felt like home. Breakfast was plentiful and dinner was very nice!! We parked our motorcycle inside hotel area, and that was really important for us. If... More

I would not call this as a hotel as it is converted from an old rural home building into some sort like a hostel. Anyway we are truly satisfied and happy with this charming family run hotel. The hotel is very hard to locate as it is in a very rural housing area and we could not tell the big... More

La Spezia is an excellent spot to kick off a cinque terra tour. This place is hard to find but is a lovely hotel with outdoor area and great breakfast. Staff very helpful. Trattoria wasn't open during our two night stay alas, and there wasn't much else we could find in the immediate area. The parking area is tight, but... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. The city la spezia is nothing special, but we stayed there for its location near cinque terre. This hotel was such a nice suprice, super charming with beautiful woodenfloors and so on, nice and modern bathroom and a LOVELY outdoor dining area. The staff was so helpful and nice, very serviceminded. The location is a... More

It's hard to tell this is a hotel - it's located in a narrow, hidden street. The entrance is a large wooden door and since we arrived after hours it was locked. Inside there is a large courtyard with pretty vines, very country like. The building is an old rural home converted into a trattoria and pension. Our room was... More

A beautiful traditional building with artisan wall paintings with wonderful Italian cuisine. The location is perfect to visit the "Cinque Terre" as it is close to the train station and the ferry harbor. The rooms are somewhat basic but functionally and clean. Breakfast is served the Italian way, so don't expect too much. On request they serve died eggs, ham,... More

La Spezia is not a great choice for Cinque Terre, quite industrial & rundown - if you can, stay in Portovenere, much more character. Locanda Dal Moccia is about 2kms from the train station - worst points: our room was in the attic so only window was in roof, room felt small & airless, walls as thin as paper so... More

A welcoming manager and and a cozy hotel with beautiful wall-decorations. Bathroom newly refurbished. The room was on the top floor. Velux-windows provided air whitout mosquitos :-) No soundproof between the rooms.....

The room was full of mosquitoes. The acoustics were so bad we could hear snoring from upstairs. And if it is not enough, the air conditioner worked for a minute and suspended for 5 minutes. It was an unforgettable night, but not in a good way.
