Honestly, the hotel is a bit old. But the front desk services is just great, since we arrive late and still want to go to cinque terre, even though we missed the original shuttle, one of the officers just add an additional shuttle to send us to the train station. Room is old but very big and cozy, great place... More

although the hotel knew better days.. (you can tell that at the time it was considered as fancy one..) still it is very comfortable and great hotel. the room was huge with a door and shutters (not only curtains, like the old version, but great to dark the room) a very big bathroom, very clean. The breakfast was very rich.... More

Not really what we expected. The hotel is not in a great location and as long as you like looking at a container ship being loaded/unloaded 24 hours a day your ok. The hotel was very dated and simple things like the bath plug didn't work. Not somewhere I would recommend.

We stayed here 2 nights on our way South in Italy and can't recommend it highly enough! From check-in to check-out, the staff couldn't do enough for us! Our room was a great size, with a very very comfortable queen sized bed and lovely bathroom! Although we were facing a college, it was very quiet at night and the onsite... More

When we sat down to write this review, the first thing that popped into our heads was Fawlty Towers. The hotel is almost a parody of a hotel, but not in the bad way. When we checked in, the outspoken and very friendly receptionist filled us in on all the details about the hotel and the free shuttle service to... More

Hotel Ghironi is an excellent facility for those wishing to visit not only the Cinque Terre, but also other great sites such as Portovenere in the area. The Ghironi's and their staff offer excellent service and advice and are very welcoming hosts. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the train station, the harbor for ferry connections, and to restaurants.... More

In spite of its location (not in the City center), the services provided as the shuttle to train station and port departure location, and personnel attention made this hotel highly recommendable!!!!!!

We stayed at the Ghironi for three nights May 2014. The location was away from the central area of La Spezia but the hotel had a free shuttle to and from the town center, the ferry and the train station. Our room was huge by Italian standards, as was the bathroom. The lobby is very nice and the breakfast was... More
