This nice and new-looking hotel is very central, the staff is courteous and very accommodating, we stayed in a very small room but it was expected to be so, since it was supposed to be only me but then we decided to travel in couple. Although they had no double rooms left they added a bed for the night. The... More

Very cheap hotel in La Spezia. Is very close to the center and the guys at the reception are very friendly and available to give informations on the area. I loved Portovenere, so I suggest anyone to go there for a trip.. I liked the Cinque Terre too, but they were really crowded. Our room was big and there were... More

My advice don't stay - Information is not provided whilst reviewing this property that towels will only be changed 2nd daily. This information you find behind the room door with fire exit information. When you do ask for an extra towel or leave used towels in shower to be changed you are left with a rude and impersonal letter from... More

This hotel is the ideal place to explore the beautiful beaches of Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poeta, and has a spacious terrace overlooking the Gulf of La Spezia, all the main facilities are near and the harbour it is only a short walk. The lovely young lady at the reception, Alice, has been very helpful and she has... More

I booked through Expedia under "Holiday House Il Gabbiano". That's what Expedia calls it. The building looks like it could be apartment buildings. I like the quiet and peacefulness of the city and the hotel over looks the city.

A stay of 7 days marked by a one time changing the linen, cleaning and emptying the garbage bin but plenty of opening the windows wide with no screens on the top floor, complimented by paper thin walls!!!! The staff speaks mostly only italian and is not always present at the front desk but do their best to answer your... More

The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the train station. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom gas a good sized shower. The biggest issue with this hotel is that it has no internet in the rooms. If you want to use wifi you have to do so in the lobby with everyone else which is... More

At a reasonable price, the hotel represents fair value. It is tucked a little out of the way in La Spezia. Not too far from town to be problematic, but certainly difficult to find in the first instance. There are very few restaurants nearby - at least a 10-15 minute walk until a decent selection is found. The rooms are... More

Clean! The room was very clean. And after a week of sharing bathrooms, having my own in the room was a luxury. Hard to find the first time, without a taxi. Not in the heart of things, but not inconvenient, either. Seemed a bit off the tourist track. Wi-fi only available in the lobby, which is inconvenient for us late-night... More

A nice super-extra clean impecable room with a modern bathroom plus a good filling breakfast for a very decent price!!! You can not ask for more! Well located, you can walk everywhere, the neighborhood is safe and there is plenty of restauants around that are open until very late. I asked why were nuns around... the answer, there is a...
