hmmmmm. Not so sure about the other reviews here.. we had a fantastic stay. Our room was all new decor, with bright orange accents. The other 2 rooms were done in a similar fashion, each a different color. The manager (owner maybe ?) checked us in, showed us the room, asked what we wanted for breakfast. I think she orders... We arrived and were greeted by the cleaning lady. She was lovely. She called the proprietor who came and greeted us. She was strange. Firstly she told us how stressed she was, then she panicked and asked us if we would like to stay in the hotel around the corner??? Then she said that the room right beside where we... More

Good location in La Spezia (close to the train station). 'Alternate Building' is on a quiet, dead-end street ; limited parking (but we luckily found a spot right by the front door). Very helpful owner.

We arrived later than expected, so nobody was there to greet us. I managed to call the contact number and someone came to meet us, which was fine, but she a) moved us to a different location, which we accepted because she seemed so insistent that I figured something must be wrong with the first one b) she seemed extremely... I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend and we were treated with much respect. The area was small but the perfect town to relax and see the cinque terre. There were heaps of cafés and restaurants so we were never far from food. And my girlfriend loved the shopping in the area too. The room was spacious, clean... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't speak higher of the location, Accomodation, comfort, cleanliness and staff. It has a very high rating on booking.com, who we booked through, and I am very surprised I cannot see more 'excellent' reviews on tripadvisor! The room is light, spacious, has a balcony overlooking the street where you can... More

We were acommodated in a building outside the city center. Actually, that location was good and bad. Good because it was as 5 min walk to La Spezia train station. Bad because the neighborhood was quite scary at night. The room was big enough for 3 people. Free good wi-fi internet connection. The water was not hot, only warm. Actually,... More

We were put onto Bed & Breakfast Lia by the host of Residenza Viani when he could not accommodate our request for a second night's stay. Lia's B&B was a very nice and comfortable alternative to the Residenza. Lia was extremely helpful and provided us with a well appointed room and services right in the centre of the town and... More
