As other reviewers have described, the hotel is up a very steep and winding road with multiple flights of steps after you reach the parking deck. For us, the magnificent view and surrounding area was worth the challenge to get there, but beware if you are not fit enough to carry your luggage up the steep flights. The host, Fernando... More

you should be aware that finding the property is via an extremely winding & very, very steep road & not for the faint hearted. The steps up to the property outside from the car park are also steep. Our room was again up further stairs making it a real task to take our luggage upstairs. the facilities are very basic,... More

This is a great place to establish a base for exploring Cinque Terre and Portovenere. Being mid-October, it was the beginning of their off-season. For 2 of the 3 nights we were there, we were the only guests (the Shelley room is wonderful with great views of the water), yet Fernando, the owner, who lives off-property, came in early each... We stayed four nights and found everything just right. Fernando was extremely helpful and Alessia gave us a warm welcome. We would have liked to have been able to make a cup of tea at the end of the day but this wasn't possible. Not all rooms have a fridge but there was no problem using the fridge in the... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Shelley Room and the views from our room and private patio were nothing short of amazing. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom which had a walk-in shower and hairdryer; the room also had a safe and a tiny fridge. Like most B&Bs we've stayed at, Arianna Hill House's kitchen/dining area is open... More

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the arianna hill house. Alessia and Fernando went out of their way many times to accommodate their guests. Alessia greeted us with cappuccino and lemon cake soon as we arrived. The views were beautiful. It is a quiet, peaceful, romantic B&B. very clean! it is an absolute MUST to make dinner reservations in... More

We stayed here 3 nights. The view was wonderful. Adrianne helped us and what a wonderful young lady. Very much a family run hotel. We came and went as we wanted and were given information on places to visit and eat. Would go back next time we visit.

Pros: BREAKFAST: good, served with a hot chocolat bread but not the best I ate in my trip (an automatic coffee machine). BUSINESS CHAIN OR INDIVIDUAL OWNER: You do feel like it is an individual owner. Their English is ok, you won’t have any problem to ask for questions. ROOMS: good size room, clean, bed comfortable, smell good in the... More

amazing place run by amazing people! rooms are clean and cosy. the house is situated on a hill, it's a peaceful place with very nice patio and wonderful view on the golf. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We got a problem with our car and Fernando helped us quickly with finding a car service. My advice: visit Portovenere!... More
