Found this place in a very last minute panic on booking.com without checking reviews on here first. Massive mistake. Our room was on the third floor, and walking up to it was like something out of a horror film. Our room was neat but dirty. wifi worked intermittently, and no remote to turn on the tv provided. All this could... More

The hotel is pretty much on the other side of the road of La Spezia's train station which makes it theoretically a great home base to explore Cinqueterre. Unfortunately, the window in my room was broken and did not close properly. Usually this wouldn't be such a big problem - I sleep with open windows all the time -, but... More

Filthy room, broken bed, collapsed mattress, there's a dirty bidet next to a dirty sink right next to the bed. It's jaw dropping. Bit like a squat without the charm, type of place that might doing hourly rates. Shared toilet and shower are revolting. I'm not happy that my dogs having to stay. Not fit for purpose Oh dear, bad... The location is amazing ... you literally walk to the bottom of the train station steps There is no aircon so is hot during summer. The room I stayed in was small but I was solo so it was all I needed and had a sink too which was fab The staff are super, happy and friendly :)

We stayed here as a base to explore Cinque Terre. Hotel aurora is ideally located- right across from the train station and close to many local shops and restaurants. The room was basic but exactly what we needed for a budget stay. The rooms were hot and a bit noisy but nothing you can't deal with- there was also a... More

Hotel Aurora is a great location because it's literally across the train station of LA Spezia, which is the perfect gateway into Cinqueterre. The beds were very uncomfortable and the hotel was not the cleanest. I was worried based on other reviews but rented a room anyway because of the price, which is adequate for the area. The room was... More

Fine central location and friendly desk staff. Good roms with high distance to the ceeling - it save us from opening the window too long, because it was too noizy to sleep with open window. Modest breakfest - but ok. Could be cheeper.

Got stuck in La Spezia on the way somewhere else, and had to find a place at the last minute. The rooms were filthy and the furniture was falling apart. uncomfortable beds. The bathrooms were filthy, the towels were threadbare. Thin walls so you could hear noise from other rooms. Rude staff. Overpriced, no restaurant, no breakfast.

The only positive thing that I can say about this is that the desk staff seemed very friendly. Other than that, wow!! We had hairs in the bed and all over the shower, 3 half used toilet rolls, 2 hand towels for the both of us to use the shower and the windows were about to fall off. All the... More

location is right in front of the train station, it offered shampoo and soaps, towels. the street noise was just horrendous and even magnified in the room, so we could not sleep at all for 3 nights because of all the noise of siren and engines of the cars, and the trains coming and going. the room dusty and dirty,...
