Hotel Aurora is a great location because it's literally across the train station of LA Spezia, which is the perfect gateway into Cinqueterre. The beds were very uncomfortable and the hotel was not the cleanest. I was worried based on other reviews but rented a room anyway because of the price, which is adequate for the area. The room was... More

Fine central location and friendly desk staff. Good roms with high distance to the ceeling - it save us from opening the window too long, because it was too noizy to sleep with open window. Modest breakfest - but ok. Could be cheeper.

Got stuck in La Spezia on the way somewhere else, and had to find a place at the last minute. The rooms were filthy and the furniture was falling apart. uncomfortable beds. The bathrooms were filthy, the towels were threadbare. Thin walls so you could hear noise from other rooms. Rude staff. Overpriced, no restaurant, no breakfast.

The only positive thing that I can say about this is that the desk staff seemed very friendly. Other than that, wow!! We had hairs in the bed and all over the shower, 3 half used toilet rolls, 2 hand towels for the both of us to use the shower and the windows were about to fall off. All the... More

location is right in front of the train station, it offered shampoo and soaps, towels. the street noise was just horrendous and even magnified in the room, so we could not sleep at all for 3 nights because of all the noise of siren and engines of the cars, and the trains coming and going. the room dusty and dirty,... The Albergo Parma hotel is currently called Hotel Aurora. After a two night stay here you can see why they changed their name - they were trying to leave their bad reviews behind when they should have used the reviews to improve their hotel. It's in a state of disrepair, and it's filthy. We arrived with our heavy packs by... More

Previously known as Albergo Parma hotel (look it up on trip advisor), it seems nothing has changed but the name and that in itself is a bit suspicious. Having stayed at quite a number of budget hotels, I have encountered many unpleasant ones but this is the worst I've seen. The condition of this hotel could almost be described as... More

The smell of the old furniture, the noisy, the walls were in a bad condition. the hotel needs urgent a restauration. The position, close to the train station is the only quality. It was clean but in a bad condition. It was better in a camping, than in this hotel.

Key things are: GREAT location, right next to train station. BAD place to stay more than a night. Pros - Great location - Cheap Cons - Old fashioned room with furniture seemingly from an old hospital - SHARED bathrooms. 2 per floor for 6(?) rooms. In the morning we found puke next to a toilet... - Receptionist knew little English... More

Hotel was literally across the street from the La Spezia train station so it made it easy to get into and out of the Cinque Terre. We had a double-bed room and had to share a bathroom with 3 other rooms. Although we were never waiting for anyone, it was only a single-stall, single-shower, restroom that was incredibly small. It... More
