The most rude owner of a hotel ever. Overpriced and took extra charge to have our bikes there. Not even a smile and you could feel how she just wanted to bring money out of you for every single thing. The fact is that we leaved this hotel and moved to another one that was much better. Would not recommend... More

we got a clean room in a clean hotel and not much more. Location best asset, right near Principe train station. Somewhat dingy lobby with no amenities. Breakfast is minimalist, and one morning needed to wait ten minutes for someone to actually come and make coffee- nothing else available by way of hot beverages. Last morning left early, before breakfast and did... More

I do not know the best hotel for your budget in Genoa but I know that this hotel ihe worst choice. Owner is a very rude, cheap and lazy man. Breakfast starts at 8, despite it is posted at 7.30. Very limited choice of eating. Rooms are over a street with a busy traffic so it is very noisy all... More

We arrived from Cinque Terra by train and 1/2 block walk to hotel. Major bus stop by train station. Easy walk to cruise terminal. Outside does not look like much but inside looks new and modern. Top floor and deck breakfast area relaxing. Breakfast was nothing special but best coffe drinks of our two week vacation. Great location.

Very friendly, convenient hotel so close to the Principe Station. Rooms modest but comfortable, with good Wi-Fi. Breakfast sparse, but coffee excellent. Easy to access Via Baldi and the rest.

This hotel is extremely close to the Genova Principe Railway station which is a major benefit if traveling to Cinque Terre and other locations near Genoa (like Turin). It offers free wireless internet and is within walking distance to most major sites in Genoa. Our problems with this hotel were that the neighborhood is loud at night, the breakfast buffet... More

As you might expect from the price, this is a very basic hotel with no frills. However, we found it clean and comfortable enough....if the air conditioning in our room had worked (which it didn’t). Instead, we had to deal with a very unhappy, surly gentleman at the front desk who first refused to listen to our complaints, then refused... More

I spent 2 nights in Hotel Galata, April 27/29, 2011. I had room 103 that was a real single: small (but not tiny) and basically furnished (but with new furniture) it was impeccably clean. Bathroom with shower, large enough for my needs. Breakfast was good. Personnel at the reception were helpful. They offered an early (11 am check-in) which was... More

Genoa is quite a lively city so its not surprising that parking is a bit of a problem. We parked in a garage recommended by the hotel management and it was just round the corner, safe but expensive. That said, the experience with Hotel Galata was very good. Very friendly and helpful people, nice room, nice bathroom, comfortable beds, ok... More
