This converted convent is placed on a hill over the City, so the place is very quiet but far from shops, restaurants and transport (a taxi to the train station or the Aquarium costed around 14-18 Euros but took only 10 minutes). It would be very convenient if you have a car, as there is free parking outside. The rooms... More

After a long day spent on the Italian highways, we finally arrived in Genoa for the night. Hermitage hotel was a nice place to stay, close to the "lungomare" but far enough from the city noise. Hermitage is a quiet and relaxing place to have a rest after a long day. The food was good, service the same, clean and... More

I liked this hotel even if it is an old convent. I came by train to Brignole station then bus 31 and a walk. It is perfect for those with car. If you want to go for a walk to Brignole and shopping areas in the center or to restaurants in the neighborhood like Trattoria Vegia Arba (see tripadvisor) then... More

The hotel is very nice, newly refurbished and well managed. The furniture and finishing are maybe a bit too shoddy for the rates but the whole structure is very clean and the rooms are spaciuos. The staff is very kind and available to suggestions on what to see and to do. Unfortunately the walls between the rooms are a bit... More

Lots of free private parking around the hotel - up a hill so away from busy traffic. Very near to the coast, about 5 min walk away. Hotel was previously an old convent so rooms are relatively large very high ceilings. Paper thin walls though, could hear the entire family conversations in the room next to us! Very old hotel... A little bit out of the city centre but only a short taxi ride to the Piazza de Ferrari. The room was a decent size and the hotel staff were very helpful. We had a good view of the city centre from our hotel window which looked very beautiful in the morning. Free parking also. Probably not feasible to spend... More

Our first choice was not available for online technical reasons so the Hermitage was chosen of a hotel search engine. We maybe should have looked a little further. We drove up and the free parking was nice. But that's about all that was nice. The hotel, while a beautiful building, has seen better days. The welcome was cordial at best.... More

Given the prices in Genova, a nice city but not that interesting, this htel is fine: free parking, unexpensive, clean, good heating, free wifi on lobby and tv room. Of course, I wouldn't recomend it to spend a week, but I wouldn't recommend spending a week in Genova anyway, so I think this hotel is a good option for a... More

From the minute we walked into this place it just looked and felt really old, cold and odd. I think this was some sort of institution at one time (a hospital ward, nursing home, something like that). Even the front doors, and doors in the hallways had tho7se big metal push panels you only find in places like that. There... More

This hotel deserves a review simply because our room had the most available outlets we've ever seen in a hotel room anywhere --about six or eight! So if two of you each have a laptop, phone & camera, etc. you're in luck. We didn't have to unplug the TV or a lamp to be able to plug in all our... More
