Nice smaller hotel in an old building in the middle of town. nice rooms with very high ceilings. because of the lack of curtains can be a bit noisy. Good beds and friendly staff. I booked through booking.com and breakfast was not included. breakfast is an extra 10 euro per day.

Following are a number of observations in regard to my recent experience at the Locanda Pallazzo Cicala, at which I was a guest, very briefly, the evening of Friday, October 16, 2015. Arriving by taxi to a pedestrian area of 'Old Town Genoa,' a charming small piazza, the driver pointed to an unmarked door in an old building on a... More

The hotel is in a perfect location for site seeing locally and also the rest of the Liguria region.Just opposite the San Lorenzo cathedral. The hotel has been beautifully restored, with all the existing seventeenth features adding to the charm. The hotel receptionist greeted us warmly upon arrival and advised us on places of interest and recommended resturants locally. All... More

We were recommended this hotel by the French "Guide du Routard" Italie du Nord 2015 which is a must have for us as we trust this guide for very long time On August 3rd I have booked for 2 nights directly on the website of this hotel well located in the center of Genoa and "refurbished with taste" as indicated... I want to like this hotel and rate it well. I really do. The location opposite the cathedral in the centre of Genoa couldn't be better, and is so convenient. I like the contrast of the modern white minimalist styling with the stucco and shutters of the old palazzo, which I think works well. The bed was a little firm... More

The reception of this hotel facilitated the check-in to the apartment we had booked, which is not in their property, but I have rarely received such bad service! The individual in questions was extremely unhelpful, uncaring and at one point plain rude. We did not stay in the hotel, but based on the service I received upon arrival I would... More

If you want to feel part of the history of this lovely city, try this option, for historical building plus modern updates. We went as a family of moms, grannies and teen kids, and with the perfect location opposite San Lorenzo, it was a great base for exploring. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, rooms clean and staff helpful.

During our trip, we stayed at the Plazzo della Meridiana apartment, which is located about 10 minutes distance to the hotel (where the reception is). The building was very stylish and the location was great however the apartment was poorly furnished and the kitchen equipment was insufficient. One of the major problems is that the utilities in the apartment are... More

I have mixed feeling concerning my recent stay at the Locanda di Palazzo Cicala. The apartment I was given (not in the main building, but in the nearby Piazza dei Giustiniani) was huge, stylish and well equipped although not quite clean. The check-in/out procedures were relatively smooth, but as unprofessional as they could be. No services available whatsoever, except for... More

The hotel seems to comprise furnished appartments dotted about in the streets and piazza's close to Piazza San Lorenzo. My apartment was spacious, warm (it was December) and fitted with modern furnishings. Breakfast was hand delivered to the door each morning, albeit not at the agreed time and with none at all arriving on the final morning. My apartment was... More
