We decided to stay at the Continental, under the same management of the Grand Hotel Savoia next door, as the rate was quite convenient for 4 nights. This one is a recently refurbished property, in pure Liberty style , featuring a very old caged lift, a little unpractical to use , but with his own appeal of a bygone era.... More

The hotel - like many say - is convenient to the train station. But furniture and bathroom etc are very dated. The elevator didn't work 2 of the 6 days we stayed there, and the wireless didn't work so they had to give us to a 'hot spot' device instead. The TV didn't work the first day so had to... More

We stayed here for one night before jumping on a cruise ship. It is really convenient to the airport by the bus that drops you off at the train station... within sight of the hotel! We had problems with the air-conditioning, but 3 phone calls and 1 visit convinced the staff to reboot the system, and we had a nice... More

We stayed 3 nights and found this hotel very convenient. It is very close to the train station which suited us perfectly as we arrived and departed by train. As we arrived quite late in the evening we decided to try the trattoria attached to the hotel. The meals were excellent and well priced,we had 2 dinners there and our... More

We were on a lovely cruise around Italy and Croatia - stopping at the Hotel Continental for the night before we walked to the ports (which is a 10 minute max even during rush our with large suitcases). The rooms on the top floor are lovely - old and very spacious - great on suite! The lift is easy to... More

From arriving to leaving the staff were very friendly but also professional. Although and old building the interior has mixed old and new in a well balanced and luxury feel. Very quick check in with a friendly Receptionist, the room was spacious with good facilities. Had breakfast and dinner in the hotel where there was a excellent choice of good... More

I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the location is ideal for the main train station, and the rooms are above average for this price category. I admit that the location might not suit everyone as it is a bit of a walk to the old town - 20 mins - and... More

We were lucky to be given another room. The room that was given to us originally had an aircon problem and it was the room facing the sign Hotel Intercontinental. I complained that it would be impossible to sleep there because the aircon was not functioning. If we open the windows, it would be very noisy as we are facing... More

The hotel was clean and had a wonderful old fashioned lift in it. The room and bed were comfortable. However, we looked towards the bus station which was noisy until quite late at night. There also seemed to be a lot of fumes coming up from the road and I could not seem to get the AC to operate, neither... More
