The hotel was perfect! Very clean and pleasant. The reception was very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is convenient if you need a train or you have a car. I will return back for sure!

Great location for those traveling by train, just few steps from railway station, buses and taxis and you feel no fuss and noise. As Genoa was not our goal and used it as stopover location, the hotel spot was perfect. It's also close to the antic port. There's one more 5-star hotel Melia located in city center. Might be more... You will find in this hotel everything you expect to find in the place that has "grand" in it's name - style, comfort and good service. Breakfast is amazingly diverse and very tasty, staff is polite, friendly and attentive, rooms are quiet and comfortable. Hotel has a Pirate theme to it, which works great if you stay with children. Stayed 3 nights and found this hotel very comfortable and relaxing. Spacious room with balcony ( executive double) and comfortable huge bed. Feels like you have stepped back in time due to to grandeur of the fixtures and fittings but also nicely modernised. Great power shower and toiletries , bathrobes and slippers etc Worth trying breakfast at least once at... More

Chose the hotel because of reviews. Outstanding. Great staff, awesome breakfast and convenient location opposite train station. Classic style, beautiful lounge and bar service. Favourite hotel. Good sized rooms, 5 star bathroom. Top terrace has great views. Can walk down to the cruise ships. Easy walk to city centre

Spent only two nights, but the hotel is very clean, very good breakfast, and very walkable to city center. The restaurant next door is also very good and has reasonable prices. The first night I used the free bath salts and had a nice, hot bath in the super deep tub. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We went to Italy to celebrate my wife's 61st birthday. Starting in Milan, we then headed to Portofino. But we wanted to stay in Genoa for a night for a quick look at the city. We took the train and the Grand Hotel Savoia was just opposite the train station, If you expect a 5 star hotel with marble halls... More

Having stayed regularly at hotels around the world this is one of the best. Many old hotels can have an aura of faded glory but this has current glory. The secret spa is great, the roof jacuzzis are great, the breakfast is great, the lobby area is great, the attention to looking after the room is great, it goes on.

Art deco furnishing and well appointed rooms. There is also a sauna and jacuzzi which we didn't get to try as it is only open from 3pm to 9pm. Breakfast buffet is excellent and has a fantastic range of foods. There is a a level of grandeur about the hotel with a grand piano in the foyer and an old... More
