We stayed 7 nights in a superior room in this lovely historic hotel. Reception staff were extremely busy at times but always professional, courteous, kind, informative and very helpful with local knowledge. They make reservations for you which is very helpful if you don't speak Italian The room was large. The bed and linens very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent -... More

An excellent hotel set up in an old historical building, rooms are very nice with modern amenities. Breakfast was truly generous with everything you can wish for. The staff are all great and extremely welcoming and helpful. The location is again perfect just next to the Genoa piazza principe train station and within a short walk from everything in Genoa.... Loved this hotel. Stayed 2 nights. Situated just across the piazza from the railway station. We had a large room with huge comfortable bed, chaise longue and a bath (in the room - separate shower room)!! My wife is gluten intolerant and at breakfast she got her own basket of GF goodies - much appreciated. We had drinks in the... More

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay on our way to the airport. We had travelled by train and arrived in Genoa at the the main station (Principe), so we only had a two minute walk across the square to the Grand Hotel Savoia. It could not have been easier. The following morning we were able to pick up... More

Perfect location for short visit to city. Across street from main train station-yet quite and private. Short walking distances to the Old Town, Palazzi Rolli, the Old Port and Acqarium. No wasted time. Hotel staff is first rate.

This hotel has all the amenities one could need. Bar, restaurant, spa, friendly staff. The rooms are modern, upgraded and very nice. Be sure to get a room overlooking the port. The only reason this is not rated five stars is the location. It's a 15 minute cab, 30 minute walk from the nicer area of Genoa and the walk... More

Want to visit in a hotel where you can enjoy good old times service and facitilities? If yes, Savoia is your target. Located near by the Piazza Principe Railwaystation and Via Balbi Hotel Savoia gives great possibilities to explore the city of Genova. The rooms are unique. Decorated in an old, but very charming style. The overall feel of the... More

TA gave is some great advice if Italy, but none so good as the Grand Hotel Savoia in Genova. Here's why. 1. Best breakfasts ever, especially the scrambled eggs cooked to perfection with mushrooms and smoked salmon. 2. Convience to nice restaurants, the harbor, pleasant piazzas as well as the train station. 3. Most comfortable bed for great nights of... More

This is a lovely hotel about a three minute walk from the train station. Staff is very helpful and the complimentary breakfast is wonderful. What they don't tell you upon booking, however, is that all classic (i.e., cheapest) rooms face a courtyard. If you want a beautiful view of the plaza you need to request an upgrade, which is 40...
