The Best Western City Hotel was in a nice part of Genoa, although it's down a small street that's very hard to find if you are driving. I joined the Best Western hotel club to get the best rate, booked directly on their site to get the best rate. When our family arrived they did not honor the reservation. Placed on heart of the city, next to the amazing square "de Ferrari". Receptionist are kind, bed and pillows are fantastic (you can chose between two size), breakfast is adequate. This hotel is very well located. The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms are modest. The breakfast was good. For the price paid you would expect more for the hotel facilities and the restaurant. Our third stay at this hotel. Mainly because Genoa is the centre of the Italian Riviera and there are trains to the sensational Cinque Terre (try the walking routes), Camogli (one of the most beautiful seaside towns in the Mediterranean), and in the other direction to Noli and Albenga.
