Genoa was my first introduction to Italy, and I had no idea where to stay. This hotel turned out to be marvelous. It is near the central plaza, shopping, and museums. The staff were so delightful--over-the-top friendly and welcoming. Loved the breakfasts and I actually ate at the restaurant two nights because it was so delicious. Bed was comfortable and... More

The location of this hotel is excellent and is only a very pleasant 5 min walk down to the harbour and we took the underground back after a great meal down at the port. The check in process was quite slow so we were pleased there wasn't a queue. The room a triple was spacious for us but the bath... More

Great location, awkward beds, awkward bathroom specially the shower although the room was very spacious. Good breakfast but bad service. Had to get everything myself. Amazing for big families. Booked a triple got a quadruple. Recommended.

When we travel I always look for a hotel with three requirements: great location (ideally in or near a pedestrianized area), cleanliness and, ideally, an outdoor space. This hotel had all three and had more to offer. The rooms were large and the furniture reminded me of my grandparent's fine antiques. The room was spotless and had a small Juliette... More

WE went to our room and it was so large we were blown away. We have been travelling for nearly 8 weeks and this is the best room we have stayed in for the price. Location is perfect and would highly recommend you stay here. Staff are very helpful and if you are visiting a lot of palaces through Europe... More

I had a bad experience with the cleaners at the hotel. They stole my full shopping bag. The day after I saw some of the content of my shopping bag in their cleaning trolley, they then claimed the shopping wasn't shopping they thought it was rubbish to be thrown away...I am horrified.

We stayed one night in the Bristol in Genoa. This hotel is old and charming, with the picturesque 6 floor open spiral staircase that photographs like no other. Our room was the "Suite Colombo" which actually sounds a bit better than it was. It was on the first floor (one up from ground) and in the corner (sounds good) but... More
