We stayed in the Hotel Bristol for two nights in May, and it is definitely a Grand Dame Hotel with some beautiful old fashioned details. Our room was quite large with high ceilings and antique furnishings. The location is superb for visiting sights in the old part of the city. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We self-parked our car... more

Stayed 1 night with my wife. Arrived in the early evening and was told that we had to park ourselves since the arking attendant was not there. We had to go around the block and park in a public parking behind the hotel. No free Wi-fi internet, but had access to public PC in the lobby. Staff was friendly but... more

Large, clean, comfortable room, decent bathroom, A/C worked beautifully, friendly staff, most of whom spoke pretty good English. Large, comfy bed. The room was beautifully and traditionally decorated and had antique furniture. Nothing in there was brand spanking new, with all that entails. If that's not to your liking, stay somewhere else. Oh, and great breakfast buffet. The best we... more

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August 2008. We could not believe the size and amenities of the room for what we paid. I believe it was actually a small suite, and the bathroom was quite large. The only issue I had was that I could not get the jacuzzi tub to work, but the shower... more

We had a terrible experience in this hotel. First of all, no parking spot available, we had to pay A LOT for parking far away, no assistance for it. They told us the bathroom should have the jacuzzi.. they lied.. the bathroom was horrible, dirty and muck and encrusted. It had barely a small bathtub. The shutters were broken so... more

Used TA to check on hotel. Reviews were pretty accurate. Great location, nice 'oldie worldie' feel to the place, although beginning to look tired. Had a deluxe room which by the looks of things, was simply bigger than the others, though it was big! Nice breakfast, often included in the price. Nothing special, but nice. more

Like the Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita Ligure, it did not take me too long to decide on this beautiful grand dame of Genoa when my mum and I visited it for a two nights stay recently (8-10/9). What had attracted me was the old world elegance of this Hotel's decor (see its awe inspiring staircase and frosted glass... more

We stayed at the Hotel Bristol Palace earlier this month and it is hard to find any fault with it. The location is superb, just on the edge of the old town in a bustling part of the city. The hotel parked my car for me and brought it around the following morning. The room was large for such an... more

We have just got back from a few days at the (alleged) 4* Bristol Palace Hotel in Genoa and have to say that this rating is joke. More like 3* on a very good day. On the plus side, the hotel is in a good location for some of the main historical attractions and several bus routes and close to... more
