This hotel Rocked! Our first time vacationing in Cinque Terre and couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. We were worried because we got into Vernazza after check in time but a note was left with contact information. Let's just say that alone eased our tension. Views were picturesque and we will definitely... More

Cannot argue with the view! Laying in bed, listening to the waves, was incredible. The included breakfast is nice as well, (except for when they tell you it isn't included). Our room was on the 3rd (4th) floor, and was just big enough for a bed. No frills for sure! Shared bathroom reminded me of a hostel, but it was... More

I had a double room that was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but when you're on your own that doesn't matter so much! There's no AC here but as I was on the ground floor that didn't worry me so much. The room was clean and was cleaned like clockwork each morning (they're friendly and kind of funny!). The bed... I have stayed at Gianni Franzi twice, once in fall and once in summer. the location above the harbor is ideal. they have three large outdoor public spaces. One is used for breakfast and wine tastings and the other two are for guests to relax. the views over the water from the two that overlook the sea are spectacular. getting... More

A month in Italy and my ONLY bad accommodation review.... Had it not been for the outstanding views from the 2 decks overlooking the ocean at Tratorria Gianni Franzi, I would have given this place a "terrible" rating. From their website, on the history of the tratorria,"Before WWII the Trattoria della Stella was the property of a local character known... More

Stairs....first word...if you can't carry your own luggage you either packed too much or need to find another place to stay. The value, charm and excitment we felt when we opened our room's shutter to the hillside view was magical. I finally felt like I was "in" Italy. Our room had no air but had a fan and two large... If you aren't in good shape, do not book a room. You literally climb up 100 steps to the hotel then even more up a winding staircase to reach your room. I was huffing and puffing. The view made it all worth it!! Breakfast was the best I'd had in Europe. Pastries, meats, cheeses, yogurt, coffee and tea. My em... More

We loved our room at the top of the B&B. While it was a bit of a climb to get to the room, it was worth it. The room had character. There was an outlook open to all guests on the cliffs that was a great place to relax. Breakfast overlooking the water was beautiful and the food was good... More

We weren't that impressed with the ensuite we had. Although it was fairly clean, it felt a bit old and dated. The wifi was only available on the top floor, making it a bit difficult when you needed wifi in the room. The best part about the hotel is the seaview from both the breakfast deck and the cliff terrace.... More
