We visited Vernazza for a few nights in August with our parents, so booked two rooms at a Ca' da Nonna. We were greeted by Anna, as arranged, and led to our rooms through the winding streets of Vernazza. As other reviews have said, you don't want to be lugging heavy suitcases in any of these towns, so just leave... More

Stayed here in July 2013 and had an awesome time. Vernazza was my favourite village in the Cinque Terre, and this house is perfectly located to make the most of it. It was great to interact with the locals, especially when they rescued a pair of shorts that fell from the top balcony onto someone else's roof! A group of... More

We had missed our train to Vernazza from Milan, and had no way of getting in touch with Luca, however when we were arrived we started to walk to the accommodation, and ran into "grandmother Vernazza" and another very helpful local lady and after a conversation in sign language, broken English and Italian, they managed to call up Luca's mother,... This is such a great place to stay run by such lovely people. We missed our train in to Vernazza and to our amazement (and shame), the owner was there at the train station waiting for us when we finally arrived an hour later - no problem, she says as she leads us off to our room. We had the... More

Very clean and confortable. A bit expensive considering that there is no breakfast included. It is a Nice choice if you want to stay in Vernazza, but if I ever come back to visit Cinque Terre I will probably stay in Levanto or La Spezia, as the access by train to all the 5 terre is very easy.

Our flight from New York to Milan was delayed for 8 hours, thus we were considerably late and missed our train to Vernazza. We thought that we would have to navigate the way to the lodging ourselves but to our surprise, the owner's mum actually waited for us at the train station the whole day. It was evening when we... We booked last minute, we were offered this room at a fantastic rate for the area and we snapped it up. Given the comparably excellent rate, we expected it to be somewhat shabby & were a little concerned that it might have the mildewy smell mentioned in a previous review. However we decided to take a chance on it! And... More

We spent two nights in Vernazza, which didn't seem to be enough! Luca was great to work with, very accomodating. We had many troubles getting to Cinque Terre (missed flights, delayed trains), but Luca was very understanding, and even came to the train station at 1030 at night to help us with our bags. We appreciated his kindness! Vernazza was... More

I spent five nights in Vernazza and the room was lovely. Anna met me at the train late at night and was very helpful. I loved the village and the whole Cinque Terre BUT the bed in Room 2 - the mattress is well past its expiry date and should be replaced - soft and of no support whatsoever. Also,... More

I chose to book in advance of my trip, and I found A Ca Da Nonna to be pure delight. As with any place in Vernazza, you have to understand there will be stairs, so hauling a huge suitcase isn't a great plan but it will build muscle. Ana was kind and responsive and took really good care of me... More
