My husband and I had three wonderful nights at these apartments. It was quaint, and we just loved it. When booking a different apartment from one I had chosen was suggested because it had a small kitchenette, which was really appreciated, and no extra charge. We were met at the entrance to the town, after being given excellent directions on... more

We stayed with our 3 adult children in the middle of a cold snap and were given 2 rooms rather than the apt. we had booked. They were in a much better position in town, Emilio met us at the station , helped with bags and gave us useful info. We had a few heating problems which were rectified extremely... more

Cinque Terre is stunning and the La Baia di Rio is the place to stay. We took the train from Florence to Riomaggiore and as arranged Emiliano met us at the station and carried our luggage up the hill for us. As we walked, he filled us in on the history of the place and gave us many useful hints... more

Had a great time in Riomaggorie, the views are unbelievable. We stayed in a triple room which was fairly comfortable, one single bed and one double. Only downside was that you had to walk through the single room to get to the bathroom. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The price was decent for that part... more

It's a long way to the top of the town if the elevator is broken! But, the view is worth it once you get there. Small but clean room. Very friendly and helpful owner. Seemed slightly pricey for size of room. Get Marco Polo suite if possible! Room only, no breakfast included. more

My wife and I stayed in the Abel Tasman room. Although the room is small, there is a hallway where you can leave you suitcases. The view was spectacular and Maristella , Emiliano's mom, was the nicest person you could ever meet. This accommodation ticked all the boxes for me. more

Our family stayed here in August and absolutely fell in love with this place -- wish we could have stayed longer! Do try to book the Marco Polo suite on the top floor. It has an incredible L-shaped, huge balcony with spectacular views of the sea as well as a sweeping view of the village. You can just sit there... more

We tried to book the La Baia di Rio, but the rooms were full months in advance. All for good reason, too! The kind owner offered us another apartment, and it turns out he was letting us stay in a separate apartment at his parents' house. We had the pleasure of seeing his family, and he personally lives next door.... more

We spent 3 nights at in the Abel Tasman apartment with a wonderful view of the piazza and down to the water. The family who own and run the apartments are wonderful and very generous and helpful. This was the cleanest place I have seen during my travels and looks newly renovated so lovely and clean. Its close to most... more

We spent 4 nights in the Marco Polo suite (the top room at La Baia di Rio). This is a self-contained studio apartment with a small kitchen and a large balcony overlooking Riomaggiore harbour. The location and view is absolutely stunning. We ate in every night, sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down over the sea. It was... more
