Actually, the hotal is in Volastra. Not even close to Riomaggiore, except an 20 minute bus ride. The room was clean with a nice bathroom. The room had a FAN which made our stay tolerable in the the heat (95f). We stayed 4 days. Three days no wind was blowing we were very hot. On the last day, the wind... More

After arriving at Manarola on an incredibly hot day, we had been given excellent directions as to how to find our way to Luna di Marzo, perched high above the sea in Volastra. Not having been to the Cinque Terre before, we had no idea what to expect , but we were so pleased that we chose to stay in... More

Unfortunately, Cinque Terre is becoming very busy during the peak summer months. Luna di Marzo is the perfect solution! First off, the view is stunning. You are tempted to spend every evening watching the sunset from the beautiful patio at the hotel, which gives you a panoramic view of both nearby Manarola & Corniglia in both directions. The staff are... More

We stayed at luna di marzo during our cinque terre visit for two nights. I think volastra is the town to stay when visiting cinque terre, it is a good base to explore from. You can walk to manarola and corniglia in an hour. Luna di marzo has breathtaking views. It is a very simple option to stay however the... More

We stayed for 5 evenings. The location is exactly what it claims to be - stunning, beautifully situated, breathtaking, in the middle of hiking; just fantastic. We had the room with the balcony and the view was exactly as we had hoped. Breakfast was really good - fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, coffee, and the afternoon white wine/snacks overlooking the sea... This place was amazing. Up in the mountains it gives you a wonderful view. Driving there take a while but it is just a short ride down to the town of manarola. A simple place but the best views I think. The room was incredibly spacious, clean and comfy. Great food and a wonderful staff who are very helpful. Great... More

We stayed four nights in this quiet, family run, hotel. It sits on the top of the hill in Volastra with stunning views over Manarola and Corniglia. It was really good to be out of the crowds in the coastal towns. The shuttle bus from Manarola takes 5-10 minutes but you need to keep an eye on the timetable as... More

We spent two nights in one of the rooms with a balcony that overlooked the Mediterranean Sea and we had great views of three of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre. Breakfast is included in the price. The room we had was just above the front terrace and was very spacious and clean. Did I mention the... More

What an amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea from the front terrace of Luna Di Marzo. The place it's self wasn't easy to find, it wasn't in Riomaggiore it was in a sweet little village called Volastra which is closer Manarola than Riomaggiore. The rooms are pretty small but clean and tidy the staff are very nice and helpful. We... More
