If you are visiting the Cinque Terra, I highly recommend Riomaggiore to stay. While there isn't maybe the greatest accommodation in town, there isn't much along the trail and Riomaggiore had some great restaurants for evening dining. The Duxi is situated in the heart of the city and a great spot. The rooms were clean, the internet worked ok and... More

We enjoyed our staying at this hotel. Small but it had everything we needed. The stairs, we got used to and actually we enjoyed since it was like a nice workout after eating all the pasta di mari and gellatos(sp). If you don't like stairs, request a room at the bottom. We were right on top and we enjoyed the... More

I enjoyed my stay in Riomaggiore and was placed in a room in the heart of town. My room was pleasant, cosy and the perfect base to explore Cinque Terre. I was slightly disappointed by the rooms overall cleanliness. The sheets were clean but had other people's hair in the sheets. I noticed the room needed a good vacuum as... More

We spent three nights at this location. Nice spot up the hill but be prepared for ball busting walk home each night. However we saw better rooms located near the marina with sea views advertised when we were there- and for less money. Room itself was large. Bed a bit ropey, bathroom needed a facelift and towels were more like... More

While you need mountain goat expertise to get to the rooms as this is not a hotel, it's quaint and usable. Beds comfortable. While you don't come to a place like this to stay in your room but as I caught a virus that laid me up for a few day it would of been handy to have an English... More

I booked through Expedia. I had the single room across from their office... it was a bit up the hill. Riomaggiore is a nice spot for the hotel. I like the calamari places as you walk back to the hotel. I had room number 7... wifi signal was horrible. I have a iphone and get 0-1 wifi fans.

First let me say that because Locanda Ca' die Duxi is a room broker experiences vary. In our case we did receive a clean room with a comfortable bed and clean sheets. This is not a hotel. It's a collection of rooms around the central part of Riomaggiore. Ours was up the hill and then up four flights of stone... More

I stayed here towards the end of March 2014 during what appeared to be low season. I did read some not-so-good reviews prior to ringing ahead to book a room and inspected the room prior to taking it - from memory I stayed in room 4. The room was simple but had everything I needed (I didn’t expect the Hilton)... More

Here is a chance to stay in a piece of Cinque Terre history. The building is a maze of rooms and staircases fitted into an old 15th century building. The room we stayed in had lovely wooden beams and was clean and well furnished. Breakfast was fine and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. One tip for dinner, come... More

Rooms are clean. But hotel staff is very rude and not at all helpful. Room is not cleaned properly everyday. No ine to carry your luggage to your room. Towels are smelly. They charge you even for maps.
