Francesca and her husband is the best hosts you'll get: incredible friendly and helpful - they made our stay in RIomaggiore! L'Arcobaleno is located at the top of the hill - with the hills right behind you. Sentral (7-10 min from the train station), but still quiet and somewhat excluded from the rest of Riomaggiore.

The hosts are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and have all basic requirements, including great coffee / tea maker, mini-fridge, TV couple of English news channels. There is a semi private terrace per room and a larger shared terrace. As with all tiled floors you may prefer upstairs to reduce noise from elephants upstairs, but not sure if... More

For young adventurous travelers, walking from the train station would just be a breeze. But caution to those who are unable to walk up a steep road, better take the bus. As we have a reservation, we were met by the owners of this quaint but handsome hotel on top of the hill. Although further from the main business area... More

Understand that Riomaggiore is a very steep valley that does not allow cars down by the ocean, which by the way is where you load onto the ferry boats or get to train station. There are lots of stairs and fairly steep walkways. L'Arcobaleno is located at the high end of the valley. It has great parking, if you are... More

First off, you have to know what you are getting into when you decide to visit Cinque Terre. All terrain is steep and most hotels are not accessible easily. This review has nothing to do with that. Location: The location is at the highest point in Riomaggiore. Good for views, hard to get to when you have luggage. Room: The... More

We stayed in the yellow room, which was on the ground floor, from September 13 - 18th. As others have said, this Bed & Breakfast is all the way up the steep hill, but we preferred the quietness away from the boisterous nightlife. We were fortunate enough to get the shuttle bus immediately upon leaving the tunnel from the train.... More

How cute is this place. Situated right at the top of the hill personally I loved the location (despite the hike) because we were surrounded by beautiful trees and next to a little stream of water. The hostess gave us clear directions on how to reach the b&b and it was easy to find. Once you are out of the... More

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hostess was a very lovely person who really wanted to help and she gave us some good recommendations for restaurants, hiking paths etc. The room was clean and spacious enough for the two of us, although the TV was pretty small. The bathroom was big and the aircon... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. We really liked the staff, Francesca is really nice and helpful, she gave us many tips and she was really warm and polite. The hotel was very cozy and clean, full of colors !! We strongly recommend it. If it can be considered as a disadvantage, the location was a bit far... More

We stayed for two nights and lucked out on a room that shared a balcony overlooking the entire village straight out to the sea. When we caught the little green bus at the bottom of the steep main street and asked to be dropped off at L'Arcobaleno, the bus driver said "Ah, Francesca is at the back of the bus... More
