Had a great stay in a Blue room with balcony. Rooms is very clean, bathrooms cleans, and location is good. The big plus is there is coffee machine in a room, plus breakfast ( rolls, juice, yogurts are stocked every day.) it's a little tough get to because it's up the hill but oh well, for price it is worth... We stayed in the blue room for two nights and found it bright, airy and cheerful. Heater worked well when switched on and the water had good pressure. Only slight downside was having to carry suitcases upstairs to get to the rooms as there are no lifts. Riomaggiore is a pretty little town but not many things were open when... More

We stayed with Maddie at Il Boma during the summer this year. We were lucky enough to be there suing the San Giovanni festival and watched the lovely candlelight parade through the street from our balcony. We stayed in the Blue Room and the Yellow Room. Both were very comfortable, no frills, but an excellent price for the area. I... More

Great start to our holiday with 3 nights in the Wisteria room. It's fresh and clean and bigger than a few others we stayed in - recently renovated as well. The hostess is friendly and very helpful with plenty of advice on getting there and enjoying your stay. Sure there are stairs but you probably shouldn't visit Riomaggiore if you... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Blue Room at Il Boma. The room was comfortable with all the facilities and the renovated bathroom was great. We loved sitting out on the balcony and watching the life in Riomaggorie go by, a true Italian experience. The stairs are quite steep and the room is up on the 3rd floor (no lifts).... More

My husband and I stayed in the Blue Room at Il Boma for 3 nights...the one with the balcony. The room was even better than the pictures. Maddy was a great host. She even left 2 bottles of Prosecco in our room after learning we were celebrating our birthdays and wedding anniversary during our trip. Being from NYC, it was... More

Riomaggiore is a 'must stay' and there are plenty of places to stay in. Il BoMa was just what we expected. Remember the town is small and so is the accom. The rooms are small, however if its jus a sleeping place you need then this is as good as any. More

My wife and stayed in il BoMa for two nights in September. We stayed in the room with the balcony overlooking the main street. Maddy was an exceptional host. When we arrived, she met us on the street in front of the B&B and helped carry up some of our luggage. She road with me to where we would park... More

We stayed in they yellow room, and although it was small, it was very clean and comfortable and came with our own bathroom down the hall which was ony for our use, and wasnt a worry at all. A wonderful location in one of the world’s most beautiful surroundings. We had the blue room with a nice little balcony, where we would sit and enjoy sipping coffee or wine and watching people passing by – it felt a bit like being a resident. The bathroom was gorgeous and the whole place was very clean. Maddy was very kind... More
