We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! The owners fresh baked cakes (served at breakfast) were so good!! And the smell of them cooking in the hotel really made you look Forward to the next day's breakfast to taste them! The staff were so helpful, we asked for restaurant recommendations, and they made the reservations for us. also... More

We recently spent two nights here and wished we had stayed longer. The hotel is ideally located in the old town. The staff were friendly, helpful and provided great suggestions on local activities. The room was spacious, clean and functional. Our attached balcony had a couple of lounge chairs and gave us a great place to relax at the end... More

We stayed here for hiking the trails of Cinque Terre. The location is a good basecamp for that purpose. We experienced good service, the management was extremely helpful. The small terrace offers nice seating for the predinner drink. The breakfast table offered more than expected with the managers homebaked juicy fruitcakes as the highlight. Overall I would rate the hotel... More

This is our second visit/stay here. This time we were staying in Monterosso for a longer period. Marco the manager was exceptional host and made our stay even more memorable. His people skills were the best we have seen in a very long time. Made all the guests feel special as if they were the only ones staying at the... More

Our group stayed at this lovely hotel for a week. It's location in the old town is perfect as it's near shops, great restaurants, banks, train station and ferry terminal and a small supermarket. It's a good starting point for our daily visits to the other Cinque Terre towns. Marco and the staff there are very accommodating and they have... More

We stayed four nights at this charming hotel in Cinque Terre. The first three night we were in the upstairs/downstairs suite. It was larger than the regular rooms and very nice..We had a Patio that was very comfortable to sit on. The fourth night was booked separately (it was an add on) and that was in one of regular standard... More

Lovely Hotel in convenient location, close to shops, restaurants, supermarket, laundry and ATM. The hotel was clean and comfortable, had a nice breakfast room with good choice of food and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Short walk to waterfront and station 10 mins away. We stayed two nights. In our opinion Monterosso was the best town on the Cinque... More

We stayed in the Hotel Margherita for three nights in May 2015 and had quite a pleasant stay. Our room was on the small side, but well organised and equipped, so it was quite adequate for three nights. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and courteous. As many others have mentioned, the manager, Marco, is delightful and his homemade cakes... More

We stayed at this lovely hotel located in the historical center of Monterosso al Mare -- the westernmost and largest of 5 villages comprising The Cinque Terre on the Ligurian Coast, for an overnight during our two weeks in Italy. We found the hotel on Trip Advisor and chose it when our fisrt choice (in Venazza) was booked for the... More

Nice place. Front desk could provide more info on local points of interest. Had to ask specifically for each point of interest we were looking for. They should provide a brochure showing the highlights of the area. The price per night should certainly give them the funds to produce such a document.
