A friend and I stayed at the Palme Hotel for four nights in September, the hotel was very clean and the cleaning staff were great. I agree, the management were a bit stiff but we didn't have any problems. Our room was on the second floor not much of a view but who needs a view when you have the... More

First of all, it's important to say that Monterosso, tiny as it is, does not allow motor vehicles traffic in the historic center. So, if you arrive at the south end, you'll have to park your car at the road side ( or try to find a space at the croweded parking lots ). From there, either you walk ,... More

My spouse and I stayed at Hotel Palme in Monterosso for 3 nights in early October. The room was on the third floor facing out the back onto a vegetable garden, no balcony. No need for A/C so we didn't try that out. It was roomy enough given we spent most of our time outside. Bathroom was fine as well,... More

We were placed in room 112 that did not have working A/C and was above the kitchen. It was on the first floor near an outside stairwell so sleeping with the window open was not safe. We asked for another room and were denied. After a long hot night, and an early wake up compliments of the kitchen we asked... More

We stayed here for three nights on a driving trip. The hotel was fairly easy to locate (don't miss the driveway into the car park; you may think, as we did, that it's a sidewalk, but it is, in fact, the way into the car park) and in a beautiful place. The service wasn't warm at all. In fact, we... More

Monterosso and the CinqueTerre is amazing! Beautiful! Hotel Palme is nice- short walk from the train station. In the new section of town. The rooms are average but sterile- short on charm- we had a double without a balcony. 1 block from the beach. Nice large courtyard, friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good price.

Great staff, great location, and you can drive right up to the hotel. It has airconditioning, which I learned is critical after being attacked by small bugs all night in Manarola. The hotel has an elevator, which is just lovely. The hotel has a bar and gorgeous big palm trees to enjoy your afternoon cocktail. The staff is delightful. The... More
