One of the best parts of our stay in the Cinque Terre was this gem of a hotel. Located a minute’s walk from the central square in Monterosso’s Old Town, this hotel was very quiet, with all the conveniences we needed. Each room has a small balcony where we read or had snacks. Bathrooms were well outfitted and large. Even... More

I had been to Cinque Terre on my honeymoon and was so excited to share this area of Italy with my daughters. We walked through a little square and then then found the beautiful courtyard of the hotel and we were all entranced by the beauty. The receptionist asked if we wanted a cold beverage and cookie before she took... More

Nicely located - around a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Our room didn't have a window which was a little weird but since we were out and about most of the time it really didn't matter. Breakfast was good and made for a good start to the day. Staff were very pleasant.

We loved the Cinque Terre area so much during our stay in May. It was a welcome respite between the busy itineraries we had in Rome, Florence, and Venice. The pace slows down and you enjoy the most amazing hikes between towns; sampling the food, drinks, and goods of each individual town. La Colonnina Hotel is the perfect place to... More

Wife and I had great time here as the location is mid central to shops and markets, 7min stroll to train station to access the rest of cinque tere. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The suite was simple and cosy but the buffet full breakfast was divine. The rooftop view is incredible. Highly recommended for action couples wanting... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the end of October. Upon check in we were given two free lemonades and a little snack. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was an easy walk from the train station with our luggage. There was a nice room for breakfast and a great rooftop terrace which... More

We loved our 4 nite stay at La Colonnina....so clean, so comfortable, so personable. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and reassuring...even though storms were approaching, trails and ferries were shut down for awhile. Despite the overcast skies we took advantage of the trains and occ ferries to visit all five lovely towns and then return... More

This hotel was clean, updated and air-conditioned. The bathroom was quite small but functional. Breakfast room was charmng with good food and service. Located in Old Town in a convenient, quiet spot. Staff spoke English and were most welcoming. A great value!

Cute hotel in adorable area. Breakfast good. Rooftop common area used nightly to enjoy a drink during sunset. Monterosso is an expensive area and so prices common per area, if not below average per quality of hotel. New window furnishings. Monterosso is notorious for mosquitoes - bring a citronella candle!

Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast, very clean and comfortable rooms. Moments walking to restaurants and main sites. Nothing like to have a nice bed and a spotless place to sleep and eat after nice and long walks through vineyards, sea side and beautiful old villages. Fully recommend this region and this nice hotel!
