Great location for hiking the Cinque Terre. The hotel is close to parking with very easy walking distance from parking, town & train to get to other villages. The hotel owner is a prompt and excellent barista who serves a mean cup of hot latte's or what ever you like to drink. A delicious breakfast is served every morning with... More

The Locanda Il Maestrale is simply beautiful, beginning with the wonderful XVI century mansion renovated by the owners and the lovely terrace that unfortunately we couldn't profit by during our stay, as it was March and it was still too cold. Since we booked with a small advance and it was busy, the owners could only accommodate us in their... More

We wanted to spend a couple of days during our travels through Italy in the Cinque Terre and especially in Monterosso. We began looking for a spot to stay in May of 2009 and came across the wonderful albergo on Trip Advisor. We booked with Stefania and Giovanni and were excited to see their website and their responsiveness to our... More

This is a very nice B & B located in the old section of Monterosso. We stayed in the Corniglia room which was very clean with a king size bed. The only drawback is the window faces a wall and has no natural light filtering into the room. Breakfast was very satisfiying with a nice selection of fruits, rolls and... More

We contacted Stephania approximately 3 months ahead of time for an August trip to Monterosso. The trip was almost an exact repeat of a trip we took two years ago. I was going to do a pro/con list, but I could only come up with one real con. That would be, on our first night we stayed in the Corneglia... More

We stayed in this lovely locanda for 2 nights in September 2009. Beautiful. Awesome location in Monterosso, right in the old town. Wonderful breakfast on the balcony... cereals, chocolate crossiants, toast, yoghurt. fruit., freshly made coffee. Our room was lovely - very clean, great bed, all wonderful. The husband and wife who run the locanda are very friendly and happy... More

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. The breakfast was superb. The location fantastic. Wonderful staff and owners. The terrace is to die for, and the rooms are lovely! Perfect! We cannot wait to go back!

Stayed there with husband and two friends in August. Loved the place, everything was really clean and the room (the yellow one next to the reception) was pretty and cozy. The owners were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was exceptionally good including different sorts of cheeses, fruits and other delicious dishes. Overall Monterosso was amazing - as well as all the... We loved this hotel. Giovanni and Stefania are wonderful hosts providing both warm hospitality and a lovely small hotel experience. The room we had was perfect for our few days exploring the Cinque Terre area. The breakfast terrace is lovely and we enjoyed a leisurely experience both in the morning and in the evening before dinner. The hotel is a... More

We owners of this hotel are fanatasic. We loved staying here very much. We arrived late in the evening due to the tardiness of Italian train system. Anyways, they were there cleaning and drinking wine and waiting for us to show up. We were very apologetic but they insisted that it was no problem. The room was small but charming... More
