We enjoyed our 3-day stay in this lovely hotel. Gionvanni and Stephania are gracious, helpful hosts who know the local hotspots and hiking paths. The terrace is an oasis of calm and sunshine above the city. Easy to get to and surrounded by a bustling town.

This was the perfect place for us to stay in the Cinque Terra. It's an easy walk from the train station in the New Town to the Old Town. We loved the terrace overlooking the small square and the always available drinks and snacks. Stafania and Giovanni were excellent hosts. We also loved that there were only a total of... More

We stayed here for 7 nights, we are older travelers and we wanted plenty of time to look around. It was not too long for us, we visited all 4 other towns and enjoyed wandering Monterosso every day and evening. The terrace was a great feature, we enjoyed it a lot. The breakfast was good, especially the cake from Laura's... More

Yes, the rooms are small, but cozy. Not noisy when facing the back building (in the Corniglia room) but lively enough to warrant comfort while listening to locals chatting on their way to work/school under the sitting terrace (there is an archway at the entrance to the B&B.) What a treat this all was! Check in & out was easy... More

We stayed in small room( you get what you pay) but it was lovely. We were greatly disappointed when our normal accommodation was booked out (8 months in advance mind you) but this place was cheaper and just as good in its own way. Lovely helpful owners and previous comments are spot on. A tad noisy but quiet when sleeping.... More

The room I stayed in was the smallest for me (ever). There was barely enough room to walk. However, what started off as a disappointment quickly turned to 'acquired taste'. We spent a couple of nights here so the size of the room did not matter. They have a lovely balcony, absolutely colorful and over looking one of the main... More

Stayed here after time in our apartment ran out (after extending our stay). Whilst it was a similar cost to most of the hotels, the beautiful rooms with their high frescoed ceilings and the lovely breakfast terrace really makes this a memorable location. When you add in the warm welcome from both owners & staff (Connie was really helpful) it... More

This place is amazing, you will not regret staying at II Maestrale. It has everything you need to make you feel BETTER THAN HOME. Hotel is extremely clean, You can make your own fresh orange juice at any time on the Terrace, and all kind of fresh fruit as well. Again, it has everything you need for your vacation. Location... We stayed for 4 nights in August 2014. We loved the rooms and the Terrace where we enjoyed breakfast. Breakfast was basic but fine. Location is spot on- easy to walk to from the train station and the beaches. Great place to explore Cinque Terre. Really enjoyed our stay.

We spent 2 nights between Bergamo and Venice. I wish we'd skipped Venice and stayed here. Giovanni & Stefania were friendly, helpful and provided a great room in an ancient, but updated house. It was the bed and breakfast experience you want to have. Nice, casual breakfast, comfortable room, close to, but on the edge of everything you want to... More
