Great 'No Frills' hotel. If you are looking for 5 star this isn't it. It is though, perfect if you want - convenience to train station, 2 min walk. Independent travellers, we chose it for the waterfront location & price. Plus's - location, good sized room & bathroom, firm but comfortable bed, very hot showers, good wifi, clean, many eateries... We stayed for 3 nights in a twin bed room. The hotel is conveniently situated at the beach, close to the train station and "tourist info" (better get the important information before you arrive). The rooms are basic (2beds, 1 chair, 1 desk, 1 wardrobe), but functional and clean. There is only a lift for luggage, which was out of... More

Very comfortable and quiet, clean rooms. Nice view of the water.. We stayed here for a few nights while hiking around the Cinque Terre region. Make sure to hike all of the villages. This hotel has no restaurant, but there are a million great places to eat here!

We stayed 3 nights in Hotel Baia. We scope out hotels for location and facilities on the hotel websites, and then when we want to explore one further, and get rates and availability, we look up the hotel's own website (just Google it) and get the hotel's phone number. Then we can ask questions, and make special requests, like an... More

3 min from the Station can't be beat. But the train is far enough that it does not bother you at all. Beach right there in front of the hotel. Book and pay extra for sea view rooms. Breakfast lovely, get a coffee from the bar, much better than the breakfast room coffee. Rooms had everything we needed. Best restaurant... More

The restaurant was closed (middle of the afternoon) so we decided to sit on the street side patio and wait for it to open. A waiter came out and told us we couldn't sit there because the restaurant was not open yet. We asked if we could stay and wait for it to open and we were told "you can't... More

Hotel Baia is truly 3 minutes from the station, which we really appreciated as it was pouring with rain and we were quite tired, after hauling our luggage around Italy. We booked a room with an ocean view and were fortunate to be allocated two rooms, showers etc. on the second floor with a balcony. The stairs are very manageable... More

This property is basic and older but absolutely perfectly located! Right on the beach, close to train station and town. Restaurants surround location and access to private beach is awesome! Staff were friendly, rooms are basic but clean and everything you need is available. This is not a location you would spend time in your room- the surroundings are too... More

The Baia was a great discovery. We are budget travelers but felt like we had discovered a quiet little gem in Monterosso al Mare even though it is right on the main walk from the train station. The location alone makes it great, near good restaurants, the beach, and the walk to the newer part of Monterosso. The bed was... More

Stay here for 6 nights. Room neat, tidy but a little on the small side. Had balcony room that overlooked the ocean which was majestic. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Didnt use resturant as they had limited menu selections compared to others within a stones throw.
