We have been in Mont Rosso more than once. A typical italien family village. This was the first time we stayed in Porto Rocco an we enjoyed every part of it. When we will go back to Monte Rosso we will certainly stay here again. We chose a suite which was nice and big. The restaurant is good but eating... More

We travelled by car from Genoa ( a journey of around two hours) and were able to park in the large car park on the Monterosso sea front (no private cars are allowed in the town during the summer months). The car park cost 15 euros a day and was manned, so felt quite safe. After a quick phone call to... More

We were told that this was THE place to stay in Cinque Terre; I would definitely agree. We loved it. I, in fact, was recuperating from an operation to repair a radial wrist fracture and compressed, dislocated ulna and therefore not in great shape on arrival. As a result I felt compelled to show some restraint: we did not go... More

This is probably the most overpriced hotel relative to quality and value for money I have been to. The ocean view room we had could best be described as a balcony with a room. You could barely see the ocean from the room. The balcony was average at best, but far superior to the room which would make a Holiday... More

As someone suggested regarding this hotel, this may have been the "best of the worst" in this area. The Porto Roca came highly regarded as THE hotel in Monterosso. High up on a hill, this hotel had beautiful vistas and nice pool and terrace. However, the complements stop there. The staff was very business-like and 'to the point', with very... More

We arrived after a long flight and drive, parked the car in town and were wisked by taxi to this hotel in an amazing setting. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea. The infinity pool was in the most luxurious setting overlooking the sea and provided a fabulous respite after our travels. We hiked to Vernazza out of... More

The hotel is a touch luxurious, but not the stuck up kinds. The views from the hotel are just killer!! :), perched on a cliff, its just stunning. Great location. Monterosso is a great spot to stay in cinque terre, Biggest village and longest coast line, so many great dining options. easy access to the other villages also. The infinity... More

My wife and I and our five year old son recently spent four nights at this hotel. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very helpful. We did not find the walk up the hill to be too taxing and the pool is a great way to finish a day at the beach. The... More

I can't imagine staying anywhere else in the cinque terre area! this is the only hotel that offers luxury - granted it's not the luxury of a ritz or four seasons, BUT if you are going to cinque terre, chances are you aren't looking for a total posh experience! that said, the hotel is amazing and set up for a... This hotel is gorgeous and super-comfortable. The saltwater pool set on the cliff has killer views and the hotel's beach area is one of the few places to enjoy a beachy swim in Cinque Terre. The breakfast spread was delicious and offered something for our weary teens too. The restaurant for dinner was a joy for the food and the... More
