Cinque Terra and especially Monterosso was fabulous! It was our favourite place in Italy. We stayed at the Porto Roca for three nights as part of a tour so I can't speak for the value of the hotel but I can say we loved staying there. Outside of it being at the top of a steep hill (part of the... More

This hotel is very nice - clean with mostly friendly staff (the exception was a very surly hotel taxi driver). As other reviewers have noted, the only way in and out of the hotel is via a very steep, curvy walkway that is too narrow for most vehicles. The views are beautiful and the hotel common areas and grounds are... More

This hotel sits atop a cliff in Monterroso. The walk up to the hotel from the bottom is very steep, but they have a van that will take guests from the bottom to the entrance of the hotel. There is a call button at the bottom of the "drive". For the most part their response is immediate. The only time... More

A group of us (4 women) stayed here for 3 nights this October. We had a room that had 2 single beds and the living room that had a "cot bed" pushed up next to the couch. We would push the "cot" under the couch each day to have room to move around and a place to sit. There is... More

Great location with spectacular views over the ocean and hills, as this hotel is on a hill it can be quite a hard climb if you go to visit the town of Monterosso, but the hotel does supply taxi's on arrival so you don't have to climb to hill with your luggage. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful with lots... More

We came here at the recommendation of a friend who had been here before. We are spending 4 nights here while we hike and explore the other Cinque Terre villages. As others not, the hill to the hotel is steep. We left our car in the village parking lot and then were whisked to the hotel by a hotel provided... More

Our room needed updating but was adequate and clean. Breakfast was typical but the outdoor dining area was nice. The road up to the hotel is steep but if not carrying luggage is not an issue. The hotel has a car to take you and your luggage up the hill on arrival. The salt water pool is not heated but... More

We stayed 3 nights in early October and were extremely happy with the hotel. We were given the most amazing room - 308! It was completely separate from the rest of the hotel. We had our own little iron gate that said "private", and led down some steps to 2 deck chairs, then down some more steps to 2 loungers... More
