We came here at the recommendation of a friend who had been here before. We are spending 4 nights here while we hike and explore the other Cinque Terre villages. As others not, the hill to the hotel is steep. We left our car in the village parking lot and then were whisked to the hotel by a hotel provided... More

Our room needed updating but was adequate and clean. Breakfast was typical but the outdoor dining area was nice. The road up to the hotel is steep but if not carrying luggage is not an issue. The hotel has a car to take you and your luggage up the hill on arrival. The salt water pool is not heated but... More

We stayed 3 nights in early October and were extremely happy with the hotel. We were given the most amazing room - 308! It was completely separate from the rest of the hotel. We had our own little iron gate that said "private", and led down some steps to 2 deck chairs, then down some more steps to 2 loungers... More

We recently completed a three night stay at this hotel. It is somewhat remote in that it requires a small cart to transport your bags to the hotel from the town. The hotel itself could use a bit of an update as the room was a bit worn. The balcony and views of the coastline and beach exceeded our expectations.... More

We stayed here 3 nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The views are amazing and in reality is what you pay for. The hotel is clean and functional, the rooms probably need an update but are comfortable and the 3rd floor rooms have great balconies. The staff were friendly and helpful with the restaurant food delicious and reasonably priced.... More

Breathtaking location, impressive pool (for the location) and friendly service though overpriced. At the going rate (280€ for a double room without sea view) you would expect a 4-5-star hotel, which this is not. The rooms are small, OK but not luxurious, the decoration is a mix of kitsch and tasteless, the showers, sinks, and toilets were sort of clean... More

Our second floor room overlooked the ocean with warm breezes and beautiful sunset from the balcony. Our room was airy and clean with a comfy bed. Our breakfast buffet was excellent with an attentive wait staff. If you go, check out the beautiful pool and lounge area. We were not disappointed. The hotel is away from the main square but... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel in July. We were told that someone from the hotel would pick us up promptly from the train station. We ended up hitching a ride from a general hotel taxi driver that was picking someone else up. The trains were not running on the day for us to hike due to a... More

Our travel agent suggested several hotels to stay in the Monterosso area, and we did our own research too. We decided on this, because it was our first trip to Cinque Terre and we wanted a room with a gorgeous view, and which is what we purchased. However, when we arrived the room (very spacious) had the smallest balconcy with... More

Porto Roca was as beautiful as the photos. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The pool and outdoor spaces are beautiful and a great spot to relax. The location is secluded, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas of Monterosso but an easy walk to the beach and restaurants.
