Stayed for 6 days. Not good breakfast range.Fruit and muffins tired and old - did not hold a candle to other places we could have stayed in Manarola and Italy. Room not cleaned or prepared daily in a satisfactory manner. Shattered glass found under bed. No room to hang wet towels and when placed on the floor to replace, they... More

Like all the cinque terre villages you must leave your car outside the village. At Manarola the person who raises the barrier to let cars in and out has a space to park your car .... €50 for 3 days. A bit much so we drove up the narrow road and found a spot between heaps of cars. Very disappointed... More

We had 2 major issues with this place. 1) The room is tiny and the bathroom is tinier. As an average sized person, it is hard to shower without bumping on the shower’s glass walls. In such a tiny space, a bidet is a totally unnecessary fixture. There is barely enough space to hang towels or to keep toiletries. When... More

Firstly, I’d like to summarize several key words, which is “Rude stuff, poor service, compulsory hidden charges and AVOID”, for those who don’t have enough time to read the whole review. If you have enough time to read further, I’d like to share my experiences out here. I have been compulsorily charged £30 for the 30 minutes late. Here is... More

We stayed here for 6 days in May '14, and it was so wonderful. The hosts are experts on trekking in the area, as well as in negotiating all the issues involved with travel that guests have. They very generously talked with Europcar in Italian for us when we had a damaged vehicle we needed to exchange--believe me, we could... More

It was a challenge on a very hot day to get our luggage up to Da Baranin from the train station, but when we opened the windows and stepped onto our balcony, we knew the trek had been worth it. Our reward was a memorable, fantastic view overlooking the town of Manarola and the Adriatic Sea. Our twin-bed room was... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. It was very peaceful. I got great sleep here. The breakfast is lovely- you get a ton of food which is nice since I squirreled away a couple of pastries/ pieces of fruit for the day which is helpful when the food is so expensive. The front desk lent me a... More

We loved our two night stay at Da Baranin. This quite, charming B&B was the perfect resting spot while adventuring through the Cinque Terre. Rooms were clean. Free bottled water was waiting for us upon arrival. Breakfast was spectacular - the best of our two weeks in Italy. It's a hike to get to the property, but what isn't a... More

A last minute booking brought us to the Da Baranin for three nights. We had to spend a bit more than we'd have liked for their last available room - the superior room with balcony - but oh my, what a great room. Loads of space, clean, light, fabulous en-suite and a balcony with a romantic view over the rooftops... More

This is a great little b&b. We had 4 nights here and Sara, her sister and her staff were really helpful and friendly, recommending and booking restaurants, advising on walks and difficulty levels, and being unobtrusive. Our stay here helped us fall in love with Italy. Fabulous breakfasts and bar snacks. Note the room we had, which was on the... More
