We reserved the apartment Scaglie di Mare. It was absolutely fabulous and gave us a relaxing break from Rome and Florence on our Italy vacation. Yes, there is a climb up some stairs, but the view is all worth it. We actually took a taxi from La Spezia train station which drops you at the top of Manarola, so at... more

It was difficult finding a nice B&B without many stairs in the Cinque Terre in August where my 81 year old cousin could walk. The manager at Alla Porta Rossa ensured me that there were only a few stairs to the apartment. When we arrived in Manarola, we connected with the manager to assist us to the room. The owner... more

We stayed at the Allaporta Rossa for two nights, and had a nice relaxing peaceful time. Manarolla is so peaceful, as alot of the daytrippers are gone at night and there are no cars allowed in the town. We stayed in the Rugiada di Mare Room which is situated above the town and offers a very good view of the... more

We stayed at the Raggio di Luna while in Cinque Terre, and chose it because it was an apartment rather than a hotel room. Its location is terrific…situated high up on a cliff overlooking the sea. The bed and bath are on the main floor opposite a beautiful outdoor patio, and the kitchen and terrace are upstairs, accessed by stairs... more

From May 29-May 31, 2010 we stayed in a lovely apartment at Alla Porta Rossa -- the "Creme Caramel" suite which is small but has huge terraces with some of the most beautiful views of anyplace we've ever stayed. We really loved this place -- the location was fantastic. It was expensive (for us) at 250 Euros per night but... more

We stayed in the Sappore del Sol, which was a tiny but very nice room with a little balcony and an amazing view out over the ocean. The inn is located near the "top" of the town, so is away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, but it is definitely a bit of a hike up, especially... more

Very, very satisfied. Nice sea view from our little balcony. Clean, updated bathroom, lovely linens, coffee and tea available in our little room. Barbara does a wonderful job making people feel comfortable and is a helpful resource for knowing what to do, where to eat and how to have a good time in Cinque Terre. We particularly liked Manarola as... more

We stayed 4 nights in the Scaglie di Mare apartment, which is high on via Rollandi in Manarola, a few doors up from Trattoria dal Billys. The apartment was lovely - it is even nicer than the photos, having a clean, open and fresh feel. Our 6 year old daughter could stay in the fold out bed and both it... more

We arrived in Manarola by train, and were taken away by the adorable town! I would defiantly recommend staying in Manarola, as it is not as busy as the other towns, but still as everything you need. We followed the B&B’s instructions on how to find them, they came in very handy! The gentlemen at reception checked us in and... more

My husband and I took a few weeks and travelled to a few different places throughout Europe last fall. We did ALOT of research for this trip and our time in Cinque Terre surpassed our expectations, including our accomodations! We stayed in the Creme Caramel suite and it was totally worth it! The apartment is well equipped to live in... more
