We stayed at this B&B for three nights in May of 2011. We stayed in the small apartment upstairs while our friends stayed in the room downstairs. Both these rooms are separate from the owner’s apartment so its not like a traditional B&B where you share the accommodations with the owner. The kitchen and balcony were very small but it... More

I gladly give 5 stars to Christine, our host at Carugiu B&B, as she was very sweet, fun and helpful. Yet the lodging itself leaves a bit to be desired, earning 3 stars (and we had the larger suite). The suite is comprised of 3 areas--a small dark bedroom, a little eating area, and a nice bath. It was good... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and it is a lovely place. We were in the larger room. It was exceptionally clean. Christine was very helpful and informative regarding things to do in the area - recommending hikes and restaurants. We bought cereal and milk for our breakfasts before realizing there were no plates or utensils to... More

My mom and I stayed in the larger of the two rooms, and were able to peak in the smaller room. Everything is very tidy and clean with nice bathroom with shower. Our room had an extra little room with a table, fridge, and balcony. We did not pay extra for the breakfast as it is all packaged, and they... More

This B&B was our first stay on a two week honeymoon in Italy. All correspondence with the B&B was with Christine, the owners daughter in law, who spoke English. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Christine, introduced to her mother in law, and shown to our very spacious room in one of the highest spots in Manarola. It was... More

Bit of an uphill climb from the train station but benches and shops along the way! We received a warm welcome from Christine - the friendliest and most informative during our 3 week stay in Italy. She provided a folder with maps and hiking information. We stayed in the room downstairs - it had a double bed, table and 2... More

You need to be in shape to stay at this B&B. Steep walk up a long hill. But we had a beautiful 3-room apartment. Very clean. Comfy bed .Contrary to the name, you have to buy your own breakfast which you can do cheaply at a local store. You have your own dining room with a small fridge, Plates and... More

Although the hike up the hill was arduous for my mother, the apartment was quite lovely and was my favorite of all of the places we stayed in Italy. The large upstairs apartment was spotless, has a lovely bedroom, remodeled bathroom, small kitchenette, and a patio with a clothesline (score!). The expresso machine right outside our door was a great... More

We stayed at the Carugiu B&B in May and found it to be wonderful! The family was very welcoming and the suite that we stayed in was great. Really comfortable beds with a balcony. There are no sea views with these rooms but they are still really nice. We heard water running outside all night which was great to fall... More
