Not a great first impression - my bed didn't have a light or a power outlet, and when I asked the man on reception if I could change beds (as there were 2 free beds) he said "no, ohwell". He couldn't care less, he was more concerned with chatting with his friend on his mobile. On top of this I... More

Corniglia is less busy than the other towns of Cinque Terra which we found nice. It was accessible by trains, maybe 3/4 every hour. And a good middle point to hike either side. This hostel had all you need with washing availible. You do need to leave the hostel during the middle of the day for cleaning. But you will... More

This is a bare-bones hostel with institutional-like décor (lockers, metal beds, and a semi-functioning A/C unit). We stayed in a private double room, which was rather cramped, but clean. The hostel is well-located in the heart of the small town. Several staff members were not particularly friendly but Elizabeth went out of her way to help us plan our trek... More

Firstly, I would like to say that on their info sheets in the rooms it states that the air con will be turned on from 5pm-7am. However, the staff sneakily turns the air con off in the middle of the night obviously thinking no one will notice. Everyone noticed. It gets very, very hot in those rooms without the a/c.... More

We booked a double room. It had a large bed and air conditioning. It also had a private bathroom which was great. Corniglia is a beautiful romantic city, and was actually our favorite of the 5 as it had way fewer tourists and spectacular views. The one problem with Corniglia is the large amount of stairs you have to take... More

The hostel is located in the less touristic, most calm and, maybe, less accessible village of the five in Cinqueterre. If you want noise and crowds, Corniglia is not for you. Cornigilia has got a charm that none of the other 4 villages have and I can't recommend you enough to choose it as your base for exploring Cinqueterre. Hostello... More

The hostel is located very centrally! The people working there are great! Good value for the price. If you want a cheap stay it is a great pick! The town is very cute but on the quieter side. Only bad thing air conditioning didn't work after first day

While this is a nice hostel with comfy accommodations, it is located right next to the church. The church chimes it's bells every hour. And when I say every hour, I mean EVERY hour. This goes on all throughout the night and will wake you up multiple times, even if you're a heavy sleeper like myself. I hate to give... More

Take Corniglia as a town into consideration when booking anything. It a huge hike up. Granted the whole point is to hike, it's not always what you want to deal with as soon as you finish. The room and bathroom were fine. Check in was easy, the older woman during check out was quite nippy. They clean and kick everyone... More

The place is very clean and safe. It is located in Corniglia, a beautiful place. However, they require that you leave the property around 11AM-3PM everyday for cleaning. Also, there is a curfew (~12 AM to 1 AM). The lockers are very spacious. Many mentioned the rule regarding leaving the key at the reception, but we were not asked to... More
