After long driving and crossing the Alps through the best route via Grossclockner high alpenstrasse, we needed overnight Pitstop close to Venice. With some help back from home with static internet connection, the Hotel Friuli was quicly seleceted to the short list. It was selected as the firm booking with free parking, close to the historic center, free wifi and... More

The front desk staff at the Hotel Friuli were the absolute best! I spoke no Italian and the staff was both patient and very helpful. The hotel was very dated, but kept very clean. It has a decent location and is in walking distance to the City Center, restaurants, and shopping. Our first room was on the second level and... More

We stayed one night in October. The hotel is located 15-20 minute walk from the old city center. Good English was spoken at the reception. Our room was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom. WiFi worked v. well. Our windows overlooked a parking lot. It was a hot night but the AC did not work so we opened... More

I have had a certain experience of a hotel joined to an agip petrol station before, so it was with some trepidation that I entered hotel friuli. However the rooms were normal, the restaurant had good service although there was obviously both an Italian and Austrian coachload of visitors and the Refosco was very good. I slept well which is... ... but just that! Nice. On a 'cheapy' (booking.com) - we were in the "Dependencia". Nice room. But right on the main road - very, very loud. Fortunately - I had earplugs! Within easy walking distance to the "Old City" - so just what we had looked for.

we were many times in this hotel. Last time on new year's eve. The rooms are comfortables and cleans. The breakfast is very good -on italian level- the espresso is free and tasty. Close to the city, free and large parking place. Good new year"s eve dinner.Tarvisio and Monte Lussari 45 mins by car. Monte Lussari is wonderfool in winter.

Impressive entrance and beautifully Art Deco interior, this is much more evocative of a 4* hotel than a 3*. Huge room and an enormous bed for a single room. Superbly appointed en suite, with 4 piece suite - loo, huge shower, big marble washbasin and bidet. All wonderfully immaculate, and oodles of fluffy white towels. The bedroom is massive, and... This hotel is well located, and very clean. The main drawback to the hotel is it's very dated decor. If the management spent a little money refreshing the bedrooms it would be a great place to stay. Sine our last visit the breakfast was a very poor presentation.

We rolled into Udine late one evening and saw this place, a classic, 3-star lodging. Looks like it was once part of the AGIP chain, with what looked like the former gas station still in front. Reasonable price, plenty of parking, attentive service and a ristorante good enough that you won't feel you have to venture out just to find... More

The hotel is relatively near to the city centre. The rooms are quite old but still well maintained, even if some old stains are visible here and there on the carpets and some signs of overusage are visible on the walls, so a 3-star rating is adequate. The personnel at the reception is extremely friendly, helpful and competent and perform... More
