What a find! A charming, interesting and very comfortable small hotel in a great location. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, the breakfasts simple but excellent quality, and the warm hospitality and ideal location make this a special place to stay. We felt as if we were locals, and could blend right in. The previous reviews capture so much of... More

This small hotel was absolutely perfect for our four days in Trieste. Rooms and public areas are charming and comfortable, breakfast is simple and lovely (terrifically strong cappuccino on request), all in a great location just blocks from the Piazza Unita and small pedestrian streets nearby. Best of all a truly wonderful staff - they were helpful and kind with... More

So old, in fact, that the hotel included part of the original Roman wall. You can see the wall in the rear of the breakfast room, as well as a column that was discovered beneath the hotel while remodeling the building. The common areas were quite pretty - I especially liked the lighted tile shelving. I asked for American coffee... More

Great location right in center of town and minutes from the port (although a bit tricky to reach by car). We booked a spot in the hotel's private, secure garage right around the corner. Excellent quality all around and very reasonably priced (be sure to book directly with the hotel). Very enthusiastic and warm owners and staff, beautifully decorated rooms... More

I don't ever remember leaving a hotel hugging all the staff members by the door as we left. But at this charming inn, it was the most natural thing to do. The location is excellent, the breakfast is lovely, the ambiance is refined and comfortable, the rooms work well(if you don't want to climb to the top floor, let them know... More

We had not visited Trieste before so this trip was all new territory. The hotel out did any of our expectations. We stayed for 3 nights and it was like home from home. The room was clean, comfortable and while overlooking the road was so quiet. We even took advantage of the laundrette that was inly a step away!! The... More

We booked this hotel on an extremely busy weekend in Trieste through booking.com. Although booking confirmed the hotel when we arrived it was overbooked. The owners found us a place to stay in a lovely apartment, plus handled our car. They made what could have been a very trying day for us into an enjoyable stay. Can't say enough nice... More

The hotel is well located for the main square and the bus station is a 10 minute walk. Most of the staff speak English and all were very helpful. The bedroom was a good size with well equipped bathroom. Both were clean and well proportioned, the wifi was fast and reliable. Breakfast was basic but adequate (no cooked option for... More

This is a small family-run hotel in the city center. The hotel rooms and common areas are all individually furnished with very nice -- possibly antique -- furniture. The hotel is embedded in what seems to be a very old building. The interior architecture is very well thought out, making good use of the available space. The common areas are... More

This family fun hotel is very centrally situated near the main piazza, restaurants etc. It is artistically decorated with paintings, woodwork and antique glass. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with lots of hot water and a well equipped kitchenette. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast is delicious with lots of home made jams. Thoroughly recommended.
