Like most people we stayed in Trieste for only one night on our way from Venice to Croatia. Trieste turned out to be a much nicer city than we had anticipated, and the Hotel (Albergo) Alla Posta provided a comfortable place from which to enjoy this city. The hotel is located close to the train station in a basic part... More

Reasonable price for a night with breakfast included (really yummy croissants and yogurt). Only one thing was missing: a good coffee. Unluckily there was only an automatic coffee machine. Great deal to stay visit Trieste, 10 min walking from the city center, the train station and the harbour. Really helpful, kind and professional staff.

I stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago and was very happy to return The staff were extremely helpful and the advice on parking from Mimi (concierge) was spot on. Park in the drop off space next to the hotel, then go to the covered car park under foro Uppiano - €16 for 24 hours, better deals available... More

It was hard to find the hotel as it hasn't got parking place. The hotel room was totally silent and clean. The breakfast was reach and delicious, full with healthly food in a beautiful part of the hotel. 100m away from the hotel you can find the best restaurant for dinner. The receptionist will help you to find.

Stayed at the Albergo alla Posta for one night. We chose it for its location and were happy with the easy 10 minute walk to the railway station. The hotel is not bang in the centre, but the walk to the main sights is quick and easy. Our room on the 2nd floor was a bit soul less, very average... More

We spent 2 separate nights there end of June with our kid. It is old fashioned style hotel, but with modern room facilities. First room was a bit moldy, I guess that is the problem of the hotel building generally, but the other one was really modern and with a huge bathroom. Maybe it's a good idea to check the... More

This hotel is located within 5 min waling from the train station and 10 min walking from Piazza Unita' d'Italy (one of Italy's most beautiful squares). Moreover, for those headed to the International School of Advanced Study (SISSA) like me, there is a very convenient bus right around the corner. The hotel is in an old and charming building. The... This hotel was recommended by a local and at first glance of the room, I was a little skeptical because it was a very average room with ugly grey blankets and carpet. But the beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed including free internet, although it wasn't so fast. The lobby is pretty, but it was the... More

This was a charming hotel, very clean and with very good service. A pity that we were there in December when it was so bitterly cold so did not have a chance to walk around as much as we wished. We do know Trieste as my husband's family is from there but still it is a perfect city for walking... More

This is a bed and breakfast hotel so the "restaurant" rating is automatically no higher than "average". However, the breakfast is good Euro-style with an Italian touch. Coffee and hot chocolate available from machine 24/7, though friendly staff deal with special coffee orders at breakfast. Log fire in dining room is inviting and soothing. Excellent central location. Clientele a mix... More
