Old fashioned interior however good standard, backyard rooms very quiet, central location (near railway station), ideal for city visitors, breakfast buffet modest, a bottle of prosecco for free was a nice surprise in rooms of couples

The Impero is an old fashioned hotel close to the train station and the city centre. Rooms are basic and rather dated but clean and adequate and the bed was large and comfortable. Bath/shower rooms are old fashioned but functional. I had a corner room with a partial view of an alley, but partially blocked by a service duct, so... More

I wanted to book a room for the night before our cruise at this hotel but unfortunately the prices for next year are not yet released with any booking agent. I contacted the hotel direct and they couldn't have been more helpful - they responded instantly to every e mail enquiry I sent them and they have reserved me a... More

Found the hotel on the internet. Very clean old fashioned hotel, very close to the railway station and the city center. Old fashioned room, comfortable and reasonable price (even if we travelled in August). Very good quality-price rate. Very gentle personnel, which gave us plenty of info about the city.

Dear Hotel Mngmt. As I was delayed due to cancelation of my boat, I was in a bad situation. I checked into the Hotel and Diego and Paulo took great care of me. I checked in around 20:00, nothing was open as it being the 1st of January. Diego ordered me Pizza as I had not eaten all day. I... More

The Trieste railway station is right on the other side of a small park of "sissi" or Giardino Piazza della Libertà. It was very convenient for us to take a bus from the coach station or catch our early train for Milano, right after the breakfast (starting from 07:30). The city centre e.g. the harbour, Piazza Unità D’Italia are about... More

Nice hotel and about right for the price being very handy for the station. Art on the doors is a bit odd right enough but if Botticelli is a porn purveyor heaven help western civilisation. Because out go Titian,Rembrandt, most of Greek/Roman sculpture, all the impressionists in fact nothing left really.

a one-night stay, the hotel looks a bit dreary and some of the staff performance is below par, the parking place is not in the hotel and it is not free (12 euros a night after a small discount from 16 euro courtesy of the hotel), and the staff who instructed us the location of the public parking was a... Old charming Comfortable hotel, clean, large sized rooms, comfortable bed, mini bar. Good sized bathroom...water pressure not that great. Our room had a small balcony, great to watch the people walk by and have a drink. Breakfast was typical of small Italian Hotels, cereal, croissants, danish, fruit drink (not juice), preserves, not so good coffee, they did have tubs of yogurt.... More

We had two rooms. One was OK. The second was terrible. Tiles were missing from wall panels. Black mould on tiles in the shower. Bathroom chrome fittings completely worn down. Ceiling fan replaced leaving holes in the ceiling. Glass pieces missing from the chandelier. Doors and cupboard did not close properly as they did not fit. Curtain would not close... More
