This is an old very nice hotel in Trieste city center, near the square and close to the seaside. Brass, marbel and wood old style - no key-card and very personal. Breakfast in the restaurant with the same atmosphere. This is a hotel to return to!

This hotel is located right in the Piazza Unità D'Italia. It is a perfect location! The hotel staff spoke English and was warm and efficient. The hotel has an old world charm but is being well kept up. There is a marvelous warm indoor thermal pool with sauna and an awesome shower. This is a perfect retreat after a day... More

I stayed here for a week recently and found the hotel a bit of a let down, although the staff were pleasant the room was a bit poor for the price and the large bed that was advertised was actually two singles pushed together. The hotel has a great location but the hotel bar prices and the food is a bit over... The location and room was excellent as was the staff. You are right in the center of town where all the action is located overlooking the main piazza. The staff is hard working and very friendly but rather under staffed. As in most "old Town" locations access by car is somewhat limited so we had the car garaged during our... More

I stayed for 3 nights here and found the hotel very pleasant. The room I booked was small, but it did overlook the main piazza (which can be noisy until 11 p.m. - midnight, particularly on weekends). The room had traditional decor and was well kept and clean. While the bathroom was also small, the space was used efficiently. The... More

This hotel made my wife and me feel like Hapsburg royalty down from Vienna to check on the province. It is really grand and deserves to have grand in its name. The beautiful old parquet floors in the hallways are varnished to the highest sheen possible. We almost felt guilty walking on them. In the room, the linens had alternating... More

We arrived on a busy Saturday night and went straight to to Harry's Cafe (bar and restaurant) below the hotel to have a drink. There are only two staff serving drinks and food. We felt sorry for then as we watched them work flat out to filet fish, serve food, clear tables and serve drinks. Making cocktails for the bar... More

We spent 3 nights in January in this hotel in an outstanding position in Trieste. Overlooking the large square of Piazza dell'Unita' it is in a prime position for visiting all the sights. Probably the best hotel in Trieste. Located in the heart of the city on the main square. We had rooms in the new modern part which is across the street. Rooms were small but for one night stay it was great. You have bottled water and Illy espresso machine in each room. Bathroom very clean with plenty of towels. Breakfast... More
